Earlier batting first, Lumbini Lions got off to a very sedate start in the powerplay as they scored only 36 runs losing a wicket. But the misery for them was that they lost their entire middle order for cheap scores. Rohit Paudel was the pick of the batters scoring 49 runs from 43 balls. He was assisted by JJ Smit and Ruben Trumpelmann. Both of them played two cameo knocks and propelled their team to 156 at the end of their 20 overs.
Nandan Yadav took 2 wickets and he was supported by the other team members who bowled well to restrict the Lions.

Watt used his feet to perfection and hit the bowlers for fun. He got to his hundred in 41 balls and eventually remained unbeaten on 114 off 44 balls.
