Deccan Gladiators skipper won the toss and sent the Stallions to bat first. Andre Fletcher didn't get the expected going but Rahmanullah Gurbaz hit the bowlers for fun. He hit 6 boundaries and 2 sixes on his way to score 48 from 24 balls. But the star of the batting was Sherfane Rutherford. He also scored 48 but remained unbeaten facing 6 lesser balls than his skipper. He hit 7 fours and 2 sixes on his way.
