Milestone
With this win, India-A have now qualified for the semi-finals of the Rising Starts Asia Cup 2024, where they will face the table-toppers of group A. Who will it be?

We will know after the results of the final two group-stage fixtures that will take place tomorrow. In the afternoon, Afghanistan-A will take on Hong Kong, while Sri Lanka-A will lock horns with Bangladesh-A in the evening. And like always, we will be there to call the action.

We hope you enjoyed the coverage of this match. The commentators were Darpan Tikiya and Karthik Raj. The scorer was Asraj Khan. Keep following CREX for more cricketing action from around the globe. Sayonara!
Jitesh Sharma (India A Captain): "We are getting used to the wicket. The way Suyash took time and then adapted. That is the sign of good cricket, you have to take time. It is a tricky wicket. When you start playing, it feels like you can get a score of 140-150.

(What he said during the team huddle) After the loss, the boys were taking everything on. I was trying to calm them down, just take one ball at a time. When you lose like that, you would be hungry to win. (Learnings that his team are taking to the semis) We can only see in the semi-finals (smiles)."
Wasim Ali (Vice-captain, Oman): "Initially, we started off well. Hammad (Mirza) was really good. But we could not capitalise. The wicket was a bit challenging. The ball was holding up a bit. We had a pretty young team here. Some of the guys made their debuts here. We won a match and also played well against Pakistan-A. We will only get better. (On his half-century) It was long due. Happy about it."
Harsh Dubey (Player of the Match): "Feel very well. Got a great opportunity to bat up the order. I don't get many opportunities up the order but I wanted to take it when the chance came today. We had a plan that I have to bat till the 16th over, so stuck to that."
Harsh Dubey has been named as the 'Player of the Match'.
Time for the Post-match Presentation!
11:01 PM IST, 8:30 PM local time: India-A register a comfortable victory and qualify for the semifinals. They win this match by 6 wickets with 12 balls to spare.

One of the prime objectives of the Rising Stars Asia Cup is to give stars of tomorrow a chance to shine. For the youngsters playing in this tournament, it is about grabbing opportunities and making the most of them. Harsh Dubey did exactly that. He was promoted to no. 4 today — ahead of Wadhera, Jitesh, Ashutosh and Ramandeep — and responded with an impressive half-century. Remember, he had only 38 runs to his name in T20 cricket before this match.

It took him a while to get his eye in —
he was 8* off 14 at one stage. Then, Samay Shrivastava bowled a short ball that the lefty pulled for a six. The rest as they say, is history.

Earlier, he had also bowled 4 decent overs to finish with figures of 1/30. That spell included a peach of a ball that got the better of Aryan Bisht. Apart from Dubey, Naman Dhir too impressed with another sprightly knock. Alas, much like the first three matches, he failed to convert it into something big.

Oman will be disappointed with how things panned out, especially after the start they had. Being put into bat, they were off to a flyer. Captain Hammad Mirza scored an exuberant 16-ball-32 up top which was laced with some high quality shots. Riding on that blitzkrieg, Oman scored 52/1 in the powerplay. However, the Indian spinners pulled it back nicely.

Suyash Sharma was the pick of the bowlers
. He did not concede a single boundary in his 4 overs and finished  2/12. Gurjapneet Singh (2/37) and Vyshak Vijaykumar (1/34) impressed in patches. There were, however, some instances of poor fielding that this team might have to work upon going forward.
Jitesh Sharma has now crossed the 3,000 run mark in T20 cricket.
