And with that, we wrap up our coverage of the Women’s Canada Super60 — a thrilling 3-match series that gave us plenty of exciting moments and standout performances. A hearty congratulations to the Toronto Sixers, the champions of this inaugural edition!

For now, this is Hiren Kumar, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Pritam Dey and our scorer/analyst Raju Khariya. Stay tuned — the Men’s Super60 action is coming up right after this, and you wouldn’t want to miss it!

Until next time, take care and see you soon. Cheers!

The trophy is now being presented to the Toronto Sixers' Skipper Deandra Dottin and the celebrations begin.
Deandra Dottin (Toronto Sixers Women Captain): "I wanted to take responsibility and bat deep. I am happy to get my team over the line.

Well, there was not much pressure. I was just a normal conversation between me and Sindhu. We wanted to knock around and find the odd boundaries.

We have plenty of young girls in our squad. We are here to help them out and guide them so that they get better. Loved the tournament. Looking forward to the upcoming years as well."
Amanda-Jade Wellington (Vancouver Thunderbirds Women Captain): "Yeah, it was not a good game. The crowd has been amazing. I love tournaments like this. I am proud of the girls and take pride in that. I am looking forward for the Super60 in the next couple of years. Yeah 100%, I told the girls whether we win or lose, it is about the enjoying the time in the middle and the crowd has been fantastic. Thank you."
Most Valuable Player of the Tournament: Deandra Dottin
Amarpal Kaur (Player of the Match): "We needed this performance from the players. My plan was to bowl wicket to wicket and contribute for the team.

It was very important for us to grow cricket in this country.

I learned a lot playing in this tournament alongside International players. I would like to thank Cricket Canada for the opportunity."

5 AM IST & 4:30 PM Local Time: Time for the Post-Match Presentation!
4:47 AM IST & 4:17 PM Local Time | And there it is — history made! The Toronto Sixers are crowned the first-ever champions of the Canada Women’s Super60, clinching the title with a commanding 9-wicket victory.

Pure joy in the Sixers’ camp — smiles all around and plenty of high-fives in the dugout. It was the World Boss herself, Deandra Dottin, who led from the front, finishing unbeaten on 46 to seal the deal in style for her side.

The Sixers players rush out onto the field, arms aloft, to celebrate a memorable triumph. A truly fitting end to what has been a fantastic tournament for women’s cricket in Canada!

So, here’s how the grand finale unfolded! Opting to bowl first, the Toronto Sixers were right on the money with the ball, restricting the Vancouver Thunderbirds to just 75/9. Their bowlers maintained disciplined lines and relentless pressure throughout. Amarpal Kaur and Xara Jelty were the standouts, claiming three wickets apiece to dismantle the Thunderbirds’ batting order.

With the bat, it just never quite clicked for the Thunderbirds. Alisa Lister looked promising at the top with a quick 25 off 17, while Saee Purandare added some late resistance with 24 off 13. However, the lack of support from the rest meant they couldn’t post a competitive total.

In reply, the Sixers started cautiously and were a touch slow early on, but Deandra Dottin held her nerve and ensured there were no hiccups in the chase. The seasoned all-rounder remained unbeaten on a classy 46 off 29 balls, guiding her side home with authority.

For the Thunderbirds, there wasn’t much to defend. They bowled well in patches, especially in the first five overs, but faded away toward the end. That costly 20-run ninth over ultimately sealed their fate. Jess Joseph was the only wicket-taker, finishing with one scalp to her name.

Stay tuned — the post-match presentations are coming up shortly!
