Yuvraj Singh gives the trophy to David Wiese, who in seconds is mobbed by his team, the Brampton Blitz, as they scream, jump and celebrate in front of the winner's board!
Phew, that was some six hitting spectacle in the last few days as we come to the end of the inaugural season of the Canada Super60 T10 competition. The bowlers with time did find their voice and as it turned out the final was one dominated by the bowlers.
The pitch, a hybrid one with five sections put together, didn't disappoint even once and stayed intact for the course of the tournament. It was raining and hailing outside but the roof protected the cricket.
The Super60 has been a fantastic showdown of cricket and has seen an amazing response as it enters the cricket map. The Brampton Blitz emerged as the best side and with their captain being crowned the Player of the Series, they so deserved it!
On this champion note, I, Manan Mehta, your mate for the big final would like to sign off on behalf of my lovely co-commentators Pritam Dey and Anirudh Modi and our super scorer/analyst Raju Khariya. SEE YA LATER ALLIGATOR! THE CRICKET NEVER STOPS!
David Wiese (Brampton Blitz Captain): "I am ecstatic for the team. The guys performed really well on a vital day, just really happy for everyone. Unfortunately, Gleeson got injured and somebody else had to bowl in the powerplay. I just thought I could do well with the swing, and it worked out for me.
Everyone behind the scenes has worked hard to make the team comfortable. It was a short tournament, but the culture was superb. It is such a unique venue to play, it is an iconic stadium in Vancouver and hopefully this tournament will get even bigger in a couple of years."

Shakib Al Hasan (Montreal Royal Tigers Captain): "We kept on losing wickets in clusters. It doesn't help. Their fast bowlers bowled really well and we couldn't recover. 70 is never enough in a final.
Hard to explain why it happened but we played too many shots in our innings unnecessarily. Yes, this is a brilliant tournament and hopefully we can come over for the next few years and play well."
