Milestone
A dominating performance from Montreal Royal Tigers. Brampton Blitz will need to fix their issues ahead of the semi-final tomorrow. That's it from our coverage of this game. This is Mohammad Anab signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Manan Mehta and our scorer/analyst Yogesh Kumar. Keep following Crex for the coverage of the Canada Super 60 games and all other cricket matches taking place around the globe. Till then, it's a goodbye.
Shakib Al Hasan (Montreal Royal Tigers): "You can expect pressure as it is big tournament, and the franchise expects you to perform. We did well to soak up the pressure and gave our best eventually.

Dilpreet has won us two games single handedly out of the three we have won. Just shows the character of the guy.

We bowled really well, and they just couldn't get going. We can take it easy tonight but then we will have to be ready for tomorrow. Pretty excited."
David Wiese (Brampton Royal Blitz Captain): "We didn't have our best out there but it happens sometime in cricket. We just couldn't get the momentum on our side. We struggled a bit due to the slowness of the pitch. It's difficult to get back in a T10 game, especially if you lose momentum early on in the innings.

Chris Greaves bowled exceptionally well, especially in a stadium where it is difficult for the spinners to bowl considering the shorter boundaries. Happy for the birthday boy today."
Dilpreet Bajwa (POTM): "I am feeling good now after winning the game. I have been bowling medium pace so that gave me the side strain.

I would thank my team for trusting me and sending me up the order. I should hopefully be fine by tomorrow and contribute further."
Player of the Match: Dilpreet Bajwa
Time for post-match presentations...
7:19 AM IST, 6:49 PM Local Time: A completely one-sided game. Montreal Royal Tigers defeat Brampton Blitz by 43 runs. With this win, Montreal have qualified for the semi-finals of Canada Super 60 2025. They must be very proud of themselves as they have beaten the table-toppers Brampton quite comprehensively.

Electing to field first, Brampton bowlers couldn't get early breakthroughs and were smashed all over the park, especially by Dilpreet Bajwa, who made 57 from 18. Interestingly, Bajwa had to leave the field midway due to injury and then he returned back at the end of the innings to provide some late fire works to his team. Montreal smashed a good score of 130 runs in their 10 overs. Leggie Chris Greaves was the pick of the bowlers as he took 3/24.

In reply, Montreal never looked settled in their chase. They lost wickets at regular intervals. The side could muster only 87/6 in their 10 overs. They would have got themselves restricted to something around 65-70 but some solid late hitting from Roelof van der Merwe (21*) helped them get to this 80-odd score. Every Montreal bowler was among the wickets. However, it was Brad Currie and Andrew Tye who were the standout performers with the ball. The new ball duo gave a combined total of just 12 runs in their four overs together.

Both the teams have now qualified for the semi-finals and their opponents will be decided on the basis of the results of the remaining two games of the day.

0 OHH EXTREMELY SLOW BALL TO FINISH THE INNINGS, It almost bounced twice before crossing the batter and Greaves gets beaten as he swings way too early. Blitz can only get to 87/6 and fall short by 43 runs!
