Mississauga Masters fight to live another day! They were risking elimination today, but they fought hard and came up with a statement win! The tournament gets exciting and the drop in pitch now with over 10 games played on it, is playing some tricks!

Well, that's it from our side for the coverage of match number 7! This is Manan Mehta your buddy, signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Mohammad Anab and our scorer/analyst Raju Khariya. SAYONARA!!!
Sikandar Raza (Mississauga Masters Captain): "Good to meet some of my old friends. It's beautiful to see how franchise cricket has brought all of us together here in Canada.

I don't think we were played badly in the last two games. I saw those matches and came up with an idea and then our bowlers executed the plans very well. Good that we were able to implement it and register a victory today."
Dwaine Pretorius (Vancouver Kings Captain) "Probably 10-15 runs short and too many extras to start with. We didn't execute well with the bat and ball today.

I think we played too many dot balls in our innings in the last few overs and when you are defending just 120, giving 26 off the first over does put you on the back foot. We will look to be more clinical next time."
Saif Zaib (POTM): "Trying to quickly score as many runs as possible and make a quick impact. Good that we have registered our first win today. Team is confident to continue to play well from here."

Time for post-match presentations...
7:38 AM IST and 7:18 PM Local Time: The Mississauga Masters were so determined to change their fortunes! Two matches two losses and they have bounced back in style against the team who didn't lose any game prior to this match. It is a statement win and keeps them alive in the tournament big time! THEY WIN BY 5 WCKETS AND CHASE THE TARGET WITH AN OVER TO SPARE!

They were switched on right from the first ball in their bowling innings. They didn't let the dangerous opening combination of Nauman Anwar and Max Chu get away. Anwar and Chu got a few boundaries early, but the Masters knocked both of them over before any irreparable damage could be done. Chu was dismissed for a quick 33 off 17 and Anwar was back for an 8 ball 22.

The innings slowed down in the middle as Moeen Ali was struggling to get the balls away. He could muster a slow 34 off 20 in relation with the T10 standards! Ravinderpal Singh though helped the Vancouver side with a late flourish as his 22 off 12 power them over 120.

It looked below par right from the onset, but the pitch wasn't a straightforward one and good bowling could have done the trick.

The hattrick hero from last evening Baltej Singh had a horror start as he leaked 26 runs off the first over giving the Masters a massive headstart in the chase. Ravi Bopara was clinical with his ball striking and got off to a flyer with 21 off 9 balls.

He was backed up well by opening partner Leus de Plooy and Sikandar Raza who got 18 off 11 and 21 off 10 respectively. The real injection into the chase was given by Saif Zaib though who nailed 32 off 14 balls to kill any hopes of defending the total.

The Vancouver Kings did get a few wickets at the back end, but the damage was already done, and the Masters were always just one hit away. This keeps the Masters alive in the tournament and adds some excellent spice as we go forward!

1 That's it. Masters win the match by five wickets with one over still remaining. This is their first win of the tournament after they had lost two consecutive games. Full on stumps. Ranjane tries to flick it on the leg side but gets a leading edge and the ball goes over the point fielder. The fielder runs back to pick up the ball but by then the batters had taken a single. Vancouver, Kings who were on top of the table, have now registered their first loss of this tournament.
