That’s a wrap from the opening day of the Canada Super 60! The first two matches went in favour of the chasing sides, while the final game saw the team batting first come out on top. That’s the beauty and unpredictability of this exciting format. Join us again tomorrow for another thrilling day of cricketing action!

For now, this is Deepak Prakash signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Pritam Dey who, along with scorer/analyst Raju Khariya brought all the actions of this clash. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world. CHEERS!
Dwaine Pretorius (Vancouver Kings Captain): "Really proud of the boys. Moeen batted really well. It's tough with small boundaries but I think the bowlers did a fine job.

Great stuff from the boys. TJ's (Tajinder Singh) over of getting both the dangerous batters was really important for us.

We played really well as a group today. We will look to do the same tomorrow."
Chris Lynn (White Rock Warriors Captain): "We’d love to get the win, but I think we can take a lot of learnings from tonight. Fresh wicket, fresh stadium—the boys are excited. We competed right to the end, so there are some really good signs there.

It’s quite late at night, but we get another big opportunity tomorrow. That’s the best thing about the T10 format—rest, reset, and the boys can turn the page. As I said, it’s a fresh chapter for us tomorrow with a new opposition.

There’s a lot to learn from tonight. I was really impressed with the local talent on display. Hopefully, we can just get another 5–10% out of our players tomorrow."
Tajinder Singh (Player of the Match): "I am really happy with my performance in this game. I am glad to have this. I am very thankful to Super 60. Thank you for giving me the player of the match award."

12:58 PM IST, 12:28 AM Local Time: White Rock Warriors are folded for 131 runs in 9.3 overs, and Vancouver Kings win by 25 runs to kickstart their Canada Super 60 campaign.

Earlier, Vancouver Kings posted a commanding 156/2 in their 10 overs, powered by a sensational knock from Moeen Ali.

After being put in to bat, the Kings lost Max Chu early, but a superb 107-run partnership between Moeen Ali and Nauman Anwar steadied the innings and shifted the momentum. Moeen was at his destructive best, smashing 63 off just 27 balls with 3 fours and 7 sixes, while Nauman provided excellent support with an unbeaten 49 from 21 deliveries. Skipper Dwaine Pretorius added late fireworks with 18* off 6 balls to help the Kings close strongly. Josh Thompson was the only wicket-taker for the Warriors, picking up both dismissals.

The Warriors’ chase never gained consistent momentum, with skipper Chris Lynn (10) and Shikhar Dhawan (0) departing early. Dawid Malan tried to revive the innings with a blistering 45 off 15 balls, but his dismissal sparked a collapse. Despite quick cameos from Nicholas Kirton (22 off 9) and Jordan Thompson (29 off 12), wickets kept tumbling at regular intervals.

The Kings’ bowlers were clinical under pressure — Tajinder Singh (3/26), Jaskaran Singh (3/15), and Dwaine Pretorius (3/29) shared 9 wickets between them. Baltej Singh chipped in with one wicket.

Stay tuned for the presentation......
