Milestone
That's it from the first match of this entertaining 60 ball format in Canada. It was all about batters who can muscle it and bowlers who can escape! Two more matches lined up in the day, and you can expect plenty more runs!!! Can some bowler show us how it's done!

Well on this hopeful note, I, Manan Mehta would like to sign off on behalf of my co-commentator Saptak Sanyal and our scorer/analyst for the day Raju Khariya. Adios!!!
Daniel Christian (Toronto Sixers Captain): "Really happy. We did a pretty good job to restrict them to 136. We had no idea how the pitch was going to play. It came well to the bat and it wasn't holding off the pitch. Vince did well for them and Hales for us.

Jas (Jason Roy) got off to a flyer but Alex took his time. Once you get settled here, it is easy to bat on."
David Wiese (Brampton Blitz Captain): "It was a good learning curve for us. A lot of positives for us. Vincy was magnificent to get us to our total.

However, we should have got more the way we started. The margins for the bowlers were so small. We need to keep the boundary sizes out of our mind and try that we don't get very predictable. We will go back to the hotel and get to know each other better.

Such a short tournament and we may not get to play with each other often in our lives. So a nice time to interact with everyone."
Alex Hales (Player of the Match): "Very happy. It was a bit tricky with the new ball. Once you get settled, the boundaries are so small that even a few good connections go over the fence. We were not sure about the surface, so we decided to field first.

I am looking forward to watch the exciting Canadian talents over the next few days. We will go for playing some golf. The weather forecast looks a bit dodgy but we will go to watch Vancouver."

Time for the post-match presentations.
7:29 AM IST and 6:59 AM Local Time. Toronto Sixers start their campaign in fine fashion as they win by 8 wickets!!! What a first match to begin a special carnival of cricket!!! This is what T10 has to offer! Runs, runs and more runs! Brampton Blitz did a great job posting 136 on the board in their first innings.

Martin Guptill was the one who started the hitting but was dismissed for 36 getting strangled down leg. James Vince took it on from there and smashed a rather exciting 56 off just 25 balls to power his side over the 130 mark.

Sams was the pick of the bowlers for the Toronto side giving just 15 in his two overs. The Toronto Sixers weren't all that fluent in their chase to start off with. Alex Hales in particular couldn't put bat to ball for his first 5 deliveries.

Jason Roy picked up some speed but was often derailed by Hales' struggles. At one point Hales was on 13 off 13. That's when the fourth over off the innings bowled by Richard Gleeson changed his fortunes. He smashed 28 off it and looked unstoppable from then on.

Brampton did get Roy and number 3 Suresh Raina in quick succession but Hales made sure that it doesn't stop any of the power hitting. He was joined by Daniel Sams and the pair just blew away the bowlers.

Hales smashed 32 off the 8th over from David Weise and ended not out on a massive 86 off just 32 balls! Sams chipped in with 19 off 9 balls and hit the winning runs!!!
