It was a fantastic game. As a player, you always want to play this kind of game. They also played very good cricket.
Whenever we are under pressure, our bowlers come back harder. Credit to our bowlers. Thanks to Saifuddin, it is not easy to come back into the team. You know, he gave runs in his first over. The way he came back to bowl at the death over was good to see. He bowled three good overs and stuck to the plans. Also, he batted well in the end.
Not concerned by loss of late wickets. The new ball is easier to bat with here. The ball comes onto the bat nicely. So after the break, I said I need a run in the top. I took the responsibility."

We still have some areas to work on. Proud of the way we fought. That is something we have to. That is the character we have to bring to every game. I think we brought it up tonight.
Look, it seems the way the game goes here in Chattogram. It is easier to bat on in the powerplay. And then it gets harder to bat as the game progresses. It happened in both the innings tonight. The difference would have been our batting in the last 4-5 overs. They bowled brilliantly in that phase. Credit to them rather than anything against us.

9:33 PM IST and 10:03 PM Local Time: Phew!!! Bangladesh breathe a sigh of relief as they get home in a tense run chase and level the series with the decider to come on Tuesday! Both teams fought hard, but it was the Tigers who held their nerves and crawled home in this last-over thriller by four wickets!
Earlier in the game, Ireland won the toss and decided to bat first. Despite going berserk in the powerplay, where the visitors scored their third-highest powerplay score of 75/1, Bangladesh fought back in the middle and second half of the innings, restricting the Irish side to 170/6 in 20 overs.
Paul Stirling (29 off 14) and Tim Tector (38 off 25) added 57 for the first wicket. Tanzim Hasan Sakib broke the opening stand for the second game in a row. Mahedi Hasan was expensive in the first over of the game, but came back to pick up both the Tector brothers in the same over. He didn't stop there, as he also got rid of Ben Calitz. Litton Das chipped in with a couple of stumpings, but also bottled an easy runout chance of George Dockrell.
Lorcan Tucker top-scored with his 32-ball 41. He rebuilt the innings with a 56-run fifth-wicket partnership with Dockrell, who struggled for his 21-ball 18. Gareth Delany returned with a handy cameo in the last over and saw the team to a challenging position.
Mahedi was the pick of the Bangladesh bowlers as he finished with 3/25. Nasum Ahmed bowled well for his 0/31. Tanzim bowled only 3 overs and finished with 1/17. Mustafizur Rahman (0/39) and Mohammad Saifuddin (1/40) were expensive.
Bangladesh had a much better start this time around. Parvez Hossain Emon went honkers and bonkers from the get-go. He scored a brilliant 43 off 28 balls. Tanzid Hasan Tamim saw Barry McCarthy's athleticism off his own bowling and was run out cheaply. Post Tanzid's early departure, Litton and Emon were on top of the world and showed their class with a 60-run second-wicket stand.
Emon was taken care of by Gareth Delany. Post Emon's dismissal, Litton and Saif Hassan went crazy with another 50-plus partnership. Litton (57 off 37) led from the front with his 16th T20I half-century. At 138/2, Bangladesh were cruising in the 15th over. Once both set batters fell in quick succession, there was a lot of harakiri in the middle. The equation slipped to 16 off 12 from 33 off 30 in the blink of an eye.
If not for Mohammad Saifuddin's timely cameo of 17* from 7 balls, Bangladesh had all but made a mess of an easy run chase. Mark Adair, who bowled well in his first three overs, leaked 13 runs in his final over as Saifuddin took the premier Irish bowler to the cleaners when it mattered the most in the penultimate over. Josh Littler had only 3 runs to deal with in the final over, but Mahedi Hasan kept his cool and hit a classy inside-out drive to seal the game in the 4th ball of the 20th.
Delany (2/28), McCarthy (0/27) and Adair (2/36), barring his final over, bowled well to pull things back for Ireland, but overall it was a game that Bangladesh should have finished easily.
