That's it from our end. A lot of drama unfolded here in WBBL with two blockbusters being played. Adelaide Strikers won the first day on Sunday, while the Sydney Sixers had a sensational win in the evening game. With that, both of them are in the race for the finals. What will happen? The next week will tell that! Switch tabs to follow more action!

See you around, this is Arjun Bhalla, signing off on behalf of Dev Rajawat and Dushyat Madhukar
Ellyse Perry (Player of the Match): "It honestly feels amazing. The atmosphere today was incredible, and having such a big crowd on a beautiful day really made it special.

Playing a derby against Thunder always adds a bit of extra energy, and we definitely felt that out there. Batting felt good once I settled in. The wicket was probably the best we've had this season, even though the wind made things a little tricky early on. I just tried to pick my moments and play to the conditions, and it was nice to finish strong and stay there till the end.

It’s my best score of the season so far, but I think days like this just happen naturally sometimes. The crowd was so positive and loud, and that lifted us from the start. We bowled really well earlier, and that momentum just carried through.

The points table is very tight, so every single win matters now. This competition has been full of close games, and it feels like every match could go either way. So sitting third at this stage gives us great momentum heading into a busy run of fixtures.

We’ve got the Stars next, and given what happened last time, it’s a really good opportunity for us. They’re in great form, so it’ll be a proper contest, and those are the kinds of games you want leading into finals.

And yes, I'm loving my cricket. The WBBL keeps getting better every year. The standard, the crowds, the atmosphere - it’s world-class. I feel really proud and grateful to still be part of it and to represent the Sixers.

The fans were brilliant today, so I’m looking forward to spending time with them now."
1:14 PM IST, 6:44 PM Local Time: Sydney Sixers have chased down a target of 175 runs to bag two crucial points against the Sydney Thunder. With this victory, they climb to the third spot! It was an Ellyse Perry show in the second innings, as the prolific all-rounder took her club home single-handedly with a splendid 77 not out.

The chase started off on a not-so-positive note for the Sixers, as Sophia Dunkley played a first-over maiden over Samantha Bates. However, the duo of Perry and Dunkley made up for it, by getting behind the Thunder bowlers in the rest of the powerplay, where he scored 35 runs for no loss. The openers added 58 runs between them, but Chamari Athapaththu removed the Englishwoman on 44.

Dunkley's dismissal brought Alyssa Healy to the middle, and the two Australian giants had a ball together. Healy's free-flowing 33 gave Perry some time to work it out. And by the time the 51-run stand between them was broken, the all-rounder was in her full force.

In the last five overs, Pez switched on the beast mode inside her and took the attack to the opposition. She had a 41-run stand with Ash Garnder, who just scored three runs in it. The Sixers lost two wickets in the death, but Perry ensured a clinical victory in the end.

4 FOURRRR!!! Poetic justice to this chase, as Perry takes the Sydney Sixers home with a winning boundary. She cuts it past point for a four. Ismail comes in hard from over the wicket. Short delivery, wide in the channel. Perry stands tall and chops it through point for a boundary. The Sixers have chased down Sydney Thunder's target of 175 runs by six wickets with five balls to spare!
9 off the penultimate over and the Sixers need just 3 in the final six deliveries. It has been quite an inning from Perry. Shabnim Ismail will bowl the final over.

1 A dipping slower one. Full on off-stump. Perry jams away towards long-on for a run. Three runs needed off the final over.
