That's it from all of us for this game. Do switch tabs as the clash between the Sixers Women and the Stars Women isn't far away. For now, this is Akshay Bhide, signing off, on behalf of my co-commentator Manan Mehta and scorer Ghanendra Singh Thakur. Bye bye.
Heather Graham (Player of the Match): "Yeah, it's been a bit different with the weather. We have played a few games in a few different places, and it has rained almost everywhere. So, it obviously has not been the best start for the tournament.

However, our team has done well to adapt. It is a great group, and we have many wise heads around. Yeah, the ball was nipping around. It's been nice and I feel I have been in a nice rhythm in the last few days.

We are not taking ourselves very seriously. We all have played a lot of international cricket around the world. We have a good core group with great experience. Not too many meetings and it is going good with the flow."

1:10 PM IST, 6:40 PM Local Time: That’s it. Hobart Hurricanes remain unbeaten in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) 2025. They beat Melbourne Renegades Women by six wickets by DLS method in this top of the table clash to retain their position at the top of the table. A convincing victory for them and they hand the Renegades Women their second loss this season.

The Renegades lost Courtney Webb (2), Emma de Broughe (10) and skipper Sophie Molineux (11) inside the powerplay after being asked to bat first. Alice Capsey and Georgia Wareham resurrected the innings with a very good 56-run stand. The Renegades took the Power Surge in the 11th over and scored 39 runs in it but at the expense of Capsey (37) and Wareham (41).

The Hurricanes kept things tight as the death overs approached and kept picking regular wickets. Deandra Dottin (18) and Nicole Faltum (11) got starts but failed to carry on. Sarah Coyte lower down the order remained unbeaten on 15 as the Renegades got knocked over on 155 in 19.3 overs.

Heather Graham was the pick of the bowlers for the Hurricanes, registering figures of 3/23 from her four overs. Hayley Silver-Holmes (2/31) and Linsey Smith (2/33) picked up two scalps each but were on the expensive side.

A lightning in the area delayed the start of the second innings. It began after a short pause and the Hurricanes were chasing a revised target of 139 in 17 overs. They lost Lizelle Lee (15) and Nat Sciver-Brunt (0) inside the powerplay. Danielle Wyatt-Hodge at the top of the order scored 21 before getting trapped in front of the stumps in the seventh over.

Heather Graham joined Nicola Carey who looked good at the crease. Carey scored a 29-ball 39 before holing out in the deep in the 11th over. In walked Elyse Villani at number six. The Hurricanes were placed at 94/4 after 11.2 overs before the rain arrived and halted the action. Play resumed and the revised target was 106.

With 12 runs required from 10 balls, the pair of Villani and Graham made sure that there were no more hiccups. Both Graham and Villani remained unbeaten on 14 and 12 respectively as the Hurricanes Women got across the line with an over to spare. Georgia Wareham picked up two scalps for the Women in Blue but it wasn't enough as they failed to defend the total.

11.6 M Illingworth to E Villani
6 DONE AND DUSTED!!! SIXXX!!! Villani does not need the last over! She needed just 4 balls to get the required 12 runs! 5 wins in 5 games and they look hot favorites to get to that elusive trophy! Coming back to the ball, full ball on the pads and Villani so nonchalantly flicks it a mile over midwicket for a massive six! The skipper does it and the Hurricanes absolutely unperturbed by the rain win by 6 wickets!
11.5 M Illingworth to E Villani
0 Full ball on the stumps, Villani drives it but gets it off the inside half of the bat to the mid on fielder!
100 up for Hobart Hurricanes Women. They require 6 more runs from 8 balls.
