With this win, Sydney Thunder have registered their first points on the table. Hence, the only team without a win now is Brisbane Heat — who Litchfield and co. will face next at the A.B. Field in Queensland on Friday, November 21.

Meanwhile, Perth Scorchers will next lock horns with Adelaide Strikers at the W.A.C.A Ground on Saturday, November 22nd. And like always, we will be there to call the action.

We hope you enjoyed the coverage of this game. The commentators were Darpan Tikiya and Akshay Bhide. The scorer was Manish Bishnoi. Keep following CREX for more cricketing action from around the globe. Sayonara!
Player of the Match: Tahlia Wilson
4:32 PM IST, 10:02 PM local time: The six off the final ball not only taken skipper Litchfield to a half-century but also gets Sydney Thunder off the mark on the points table. They beat Perth Scorchers by 8 wickets and the DJ blasts AC/DC's Thunder to add to the mood.

The target of 151 did look underwhelming going into the innings break. However, not many would have imagined that the Thunder would gun it down with such ease. But such was the quality of batting they put on display. Georgia Voll's imposing knock up top was laced with 7 boundaries. That was followed by Litchfield's impressive fifty — her start was not the most fluent, but she came into her own towards the end of it.

In between was Tahlia Wilson's sturdy innings of 55* (44) that held everything together. Remember, Freya Kemp put down a sitter off her bat in the fourth over. That and Alana King, who is still nursing an injured little finger in her right hand, not being at her best were the two major reasons why Scorchers failed to put up a fight in the second innings.

Earlier, Katie Mack's exuberance dominated the first 10 overs of the match. The right-handed opener was not afraid to charge down the pitch every now and then throw her hands at anything wide. That coupled with the effervescence in her running between the wickets helped her score 53* (38) in the first half of the innings. She only faced 19 more balls through the next 10 overs and was eventually dismissed for 79 on the last ball of the 20th.

That also coincided with Sydney Thunder's comeback in the match. After putting a few chances down and not picking a single wicket till the 11th over, they managed to restrict the opposition to 150/7. Left arm spinner Samantha Bates, who bowled four frugal overs was the pick of the bowlers.

6 SIXXXX!!! Litchfield hits the winning runs and also brings up her fifty. A massive blow from her. Short of a length delivery on the body, Litchfield goes deep in the crease, gets into the position quickly and pummels the pull over the backward square leg fence for a maximum. First win for Thunder Women this season.
4 to win. Litchfield on 44*.
18.1 R Strange to P Litchfield
4 FOUR!!!! Over the wicket, good length delivery angling away outside off, Litchfield drives at it and gets a thick outside edge. King at short third dives to her right but fails to stop it and it runs away to the ropes behind her.
