The Women's Big Bash League (WBBL) 2025 is back after a day's break! The caravan moves to Hobart for the first time in the 11th edition of the marquee event as Hobart Hurricanes Women host Adelaide Strikers Women in the 14th match of the season at Bellerive Oval on Tuesday (November 18).

The Hurricanes are in the form of their life, topping the points table with six points from three matches. They have started well with a hat-trick of wins in pursuit of their maiden title.

Hobart Hurricanes started off with a couple of six-wicket wins over Sydney Thunder and Sydney Sixers, before brushing aside Brisbane Heat by 16 runs on the DLS method in a rain-hit game. They have named an unchanged squad from their last outing against the Heat.

Put into bat, the Hurricanes' top order continued their fireworks, with the veteran Lizelle Lee smashing an unbeaten 59 off 45 and Danni Wyatt-Hodge scoring a breezy 44 off 26 balls. With the game curtailed to 12-over-per-side, the openers went hammer and tongs, adding 109 in just 11.2 overs. Eventually, the Hobart-based side scored 114 runs for the loss of the English batter.

It was an all-round bowling performance from the Hurricanes that helped them defend a DLS-adjusted target of 125 successfully. Nicola Carey, Heather Graham and Molly Strano picked up a couple of wickets each, while Nat Sciver-Brunt and Lauren Smith grabbed a scalp each to restrict the Heat to 108/9.

On the other hand, the Strikers have had a mixed start to the season. They are sixth on the points table, with three points from as many matches. They began with a rain-affected game against the Melbourne Stars, which ended in a no-result, before defeating the defending champions, the Melbourne Renegades, by 7 wickets. They are coming off another rain-hit game; this time, the Strikers lost to the Perth Scorchers by 9 runs on the DLS method. They, too, have named an unchanged squad for this fixture.

Put into bat, Adelaide Strikers were bundled out for just 112 in 17.4 overs. The top order didn't turn up, with the likes of experienced Laurs Wolvaardt, Tammy Beaumont and skipper Tahlia McGrath failing big time. Keeper-batter Bridget Patterson and Ellie Johnston were the only two batters to go past the 20s, scoring 21 and 33, respectively. Pace bowler Megan Schutt remained unbeaten with an 11-ball 16 that helped the Strikers to go past the 100-run mark in the end.

Darcie Brown struck in the first over and gave some hope for the Adelaide-based club. Soon, skipper McGrath found a breakthrough, but the target was so low that even at 55/2 in 9.1 overs, the Scorchers were well ahead on the DLS par score when the rain had the final say.

Hobart Hurricanes will look to make it four in four, while Adelaide Strikers will aim to return to the winning ways. Can the Strikers stop the Hurricanes' winning run? To know, join us at 12:40 PM IST and 6:10 PM Local Time on Tuesday for its live coverage!!!
