That's it from this game. Coming up is the Sydney derby between the Thunder and the Sixers. Do join us for that game. For now, this is Saptak Sanyal signing off on behalf of my co-commentator, Hiren Kumar and the scorer/analyst of this match, Raju Khariya.Special words for our statistician, Aman. Have a good day!
Lizelle Lee (Player of the Match) "I found the surface to be a nice one to bat on. It was two paced later. I tried to get to pitch of the ball. I found it little harder post the rain break.
It was my decision to take the power surge post the rain. I really enjoyed batting along with Wyatt-Hodge. We both compliment each other well. It does not change much of my plans (on setting the target for the first time this season)."

1:04 PM IST and 6:34 PM Local Time : Sianna Ginger hits a maximum to finish the match but that will only keep her side in a better position in NRR and not give the victory. Hobart Hurricanes Women have won this rain-curtailed 12-over per side game by 16 runs.
Earlier Brisbane Heat Women won the toss and sent the Hurricanes to bat first. Lizelle Lee and Danielle Wyatt-Hodge started scoring runs at a brisk rate. Lee struck the bowlers right from the word go and accumulated 25 from the first two overs but the Heat bowlers redeemed well to keep the score to 31/0 after the four overs of powerplay. A rain interruption lasting over an hour reduced the game to 12-over per side.
After the resumption, the Hurricanes batters continued the momentum. They were cramped from getting boundaries for 17 balls but when they got that, they never looked back. Lizelle Lee top scored for them with an unbeaten 59 off 45 balls with 6 fours and 3 sixes. Wyatt-Hodge got the boundaries late but ended up hitting 5 fours and 2 sixes on her way to score 44 from 26 balls and Hobart Hurricanes finished with 114/1. Jess Jonassen removed Wyatt-Hodge and that was the only wicket to fall.
Brisbane Heat Women came to bat with a DLS adjusted target of 125 in front of them. They lost Charli Knott early but Jemimah Rodrigues and Grace Harris got the innings going. Jemimah played a good hand of 20 off 12 balls. Jess Jonassen got off the mark with a boundary and got a few boundaries later before getting dismissed on 18 from 13 balls.
Power surge over bowled by Nicola Carey was the turning point. She took two wickets and that over yielded 3 runs. Grace Harris got out on 28 off Molly Strano in the penultimate over and that sealed the game for the Hurricanes. They eventually finished with 108/9, losing the game by 16 runs in the DLS method.
Nicola Carey, Heather Graham, Molly Strano took a brace of wickets each. Lauren Smith and Natalie Sciver-Brunt chipped in with a wicket each.

11.6 H Graham to S Ginger
6 SIX! A maximum to finish! Hobart Hurricanes win by 16 runs. Fuller length ball, into the stumps, Ginger stands tall and smacks it brilliantly over deep mid wicket for a biggie. All smiles for the Hurricanes as they seal this one.
11.5 H Graham to S Ginger
2 Fuller and into the stumps, Ginger drills it down to long on for a double. A fumble in the deep allows them the second.
