MI Emirates and Dubai Capitals will lock horns in a crucial International League T20 encounter in Abu Dhabi on Saturday, with both sides eyeing a strong finish to the league phase as the playoff race intensifies.

This will be the final league game for both sides. Emirates have already qualified for the playoffs by winning six out of their nine games and are at second spot in the points table. Meanwhile, Capitals have also qualified for the playoffs by winning five out of their nine games so far and are presently at the third spot in the points table.

MI Emirates head into the contest with growing confidence following a string of competitive performances. The side has won their last four games on the trot. In their last game, they comfortably defeated the Gulf Giants by eight wickets. The side chased down a target of 142 runs with more than 20 balls to spare.

Their batters, Nicholas Pooran and Muhammad Waseem, are among the top five leading run-scorers of the tournament with 267 and 266 runs respectively from nine innings each. However, none of their bowler is among the top-10 leading wicket-takers of this year's ILT20. Their highest wicket-taker so far is Fazalhaq Farooqi with nine wickets and he sits at the 12th spot among the leading wicket-takers of ILT20 2025-26.

Their senior spinner Rashid Khan has flown to South Africa to take part in the SA20 league 2025/26. He will not be available for the rest of the tournament. Before that, Emirates had also lost Kamindu Mendis after he was called back by the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) board for the preparation of the World T20 2026.

Dubai Capitals, meanwhile, have gathered momentum at a crucial stage of the tournament. They have won their last three games on the trot. In their last league game against Sharjah Warriorz, Capitals won by six wickets in the final over.

Notably, the top two leading run-scorers and leading wicket-takers of this year's tournament belong to Dubai Capitals. Jordan Cox (298 runs) and Shayan Jahangir (285 runs) are the two leading run-scorers of the season. Meanwhile, the two leading wicket-takers are Waqar Salamkheil (17) and Mustafizur Rahman (15).

Both sides have met each other earlier in the league stage. In that nail-biting thriller, Emirates won the match by seven runs.

With valuable points at stake and the league nearing its decisive phase, Saturday’s encounter promises high intensity. Join us at 7 PM IST (5:30 PM Local Time) on Saturday for the live coverage.
