2:19 PM IST & Local Time: That’s it! A commanding performance from Maharashtra as they wrap up their second win of the season in style. Bihar, meanwhile, remain winless in the tournament.
Maharashtra opted to bowl first, and the decision paid off early. Rajvardhan Hangargekar struck in the opening over to remove Bipin Saurabh, while Arshin Kulkarni backed it up by dismissing Piyush Singh in his very first over. Bihar found themselves at 41/2 at the end of the powerplay. From there, Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Akash Raj stitched together a vital 70-run stand for the third wicket before Vicky Ostwal ended the partnership, sending Akash Raj back for a gritty 26 off 30 balls.
Ayush Loharuka then joined the well-set Suryavanshi, and the duo finished strongly with an unbeaten 75-run partnership off just 40 deliveries. The highlight was Suryavanshi’s exceptional knock—an unbeaten 108 off 58 balls, bringing up his century in the final over and powering Bihar to a competitive 176/3. Maharashtra’s bowlers shared the wickets, with Hangargekar, Kulkarni and Ostwal picking one apiece.
In reply, Mohd Izhar struck early in the second over, removing Arshin Kulkarni for just 1. But Prithvi Shaw was in a completely different zone today—going after the bowling right from the start. He counterattacked with flair, racing to a brisk fifty inside the powerplay. Maharashtra finished the first six overs in a dominant position at 66/1.
Prithvi Shaw fell for 66 against the run of play, offering Bihar a glimmer of hope for a comeback. However, they couldn’t capitalize, failing to take wickets at regular intervals through the middle overs. Steady contributions from Niraj Joshi (30), Ranjit Nikam (27) and Nikhil Naik (22) ensured Maharashtra stayed on track. In the end, Maharashtra chased down the target comfortably with 5 balls to spare, sealing a 3-wicket victory.

6 SIX RUNS! Maximum to end the match. Over the wicket. Banged it short into the wicket outside off. Saxena hops and slashes it away over the third man fence for a maximum. Oh Well. It looked like it bounce inside the ropes but the bowler's end umpire signaled it a maximum. Yes, it clearly bounced inside the ropes. Maharashtra win by 3 wickets.
