Katene Clarke (Player of the Match): "No nerves but tried to pick the ball and hit it. Brett is a free flowing batter and hits around the park and it's nice having that freedom. Some days are just like that. When you've got it going trying to hold on to it as long as possible. Pretty much just park it and sort of try and get away to the next game as possible. It's just a great surface from the groundsmen. Smaller boundaries than our home ground."

12:10 PM IST & 7:40 PM Local Time: That brings an end to the contest in Dunedin! It was a high-scoring affair from start to finish. Northern Brave produced a commanding performance with both bat and ball and sealed a comfortable 31-run victory. That's their fourth win of the season!

Earlier in the day, Otago Volts won the toss and opted to bowl first, but the decision backfired badly as Northern Brave’s openers Katene Clarke and Tim Hampton came out firing from the word go. The pair put Otago under immediate pressure with a blistering 91-run opening stand, setting the tone for a big total. Hampton played the aggressor’s role, racing to 53 off just 32 balls before left-arm spinner Ben Lockrose broke through in the ninth over. Joe Carter kept the momentum going with a sharp cameo of 22 off 13 deliveries before Troy Johnson dismissed him, but Clarke found another destructive partner in O’Donnell.

The duo added a rapid 93-run stand for the third wicket off just 40 balls, with O’Donnell hammering four sixes and a boundary in his explosive 41 off 19 balls, before Danru Ferns struck in the final over. Katene Clarke was unbeaten on 94 with the final ball to go in the innings, he launched his seventh six of the innings to bring up a magnificent unbeaten century off 54 balls, powering Northern Brave to a massive 231/3 from their 20 overs.

In reply, the Volts got off to a shaky start as Jamal Todd was dismissed for a duck in the second over. However, Jacob Cumming and skipper Max Chu steadied the innings with a crucial 64-run partnership for the second wicket, bringing the chase back on track. The stand was finally broken by Gibson, who removed Jacob Cumming for a well-made 38 off 21 balls, before striking again in the same over to dismiss Jack Boyle for a silver duck.

Jake Gibson and Troy Johnson then came together and stitched up a rapid-fire partnership, keeping the Volts in the hunt by dealing largely in boundaries as the required rate crept close to 20 runs an over. The pair added a brisk 71 runs off just 33 deliveries, injecting real momentum into the chase. Johnson went on the attack in the 18th over with back-to-back boundaries, but Zak Gibson had the final say as he picked up the big wicket, dismissing Johnson for 66 off 34 balls.

Jake Gibson barely got any strike in the closing stages and was left stranded on an unbeaten 35 off 18 balls. Northern Brave were outstanding with the ball at the death, executing their plans to perfection and sealing the contest with a 31-run win. Scott Kuggeleijn (3/24) and Zak Gibson (3/35) led the charge with three wickets apiece. Stay tuned for the Post-Match Presentation!
