That brings an end to our coverage of this game. Keep joining us for more cricketing action all around the globe. For now, this is Akshay Bhide, signing off, on behalf of scorer Dushyant Madhukar Kumar. Until next time, cheers and good bye.
Katene Clarke (Player of the Match): "Yeah, the wicket wasn’t easy to be honest. I also was dropped once on the boundary. It was good to get it rolling. We have a short turnaround and good to get the win. It was tricky with the new ball. We tried to capitalize on the loose balls. I tried blocking the noise and just tried to see the ball and hit it."

1:42 PM IST, 9:12 PM Local Time: That’s it. Northern Brave make it a hat-trick of wins in Super Smash 2025-26. They beat Central Stags convincingly by six wickets on the DLS method to grab their third win in a row. The Stags have been completely outplayed today and they suffer their fourth loss in this year’s competition.

Chasing a revised target of 120 in 15 overs, Brett Hampton scored a quickfire 12-ball 20 at the top of the order before falling on the final ball of the fourth over. Katene Clarke was joined by Ben Pamore who struggled to get going right from the start of his innings.

Pomare scored a scratchy 17-ball eight before holing out in the deep in the ninth over. Joey Field dismissed Mitchell Santner (9) and Scott Kuggeleijn (5) in the 12th over to bring his side back in the game. Clarke was unfazed though at the other end as he brought up his fifty off 33 balls.

Robert O'Donnell joined Clarke and made sure that there were no more hiccups in the chase. Clarke and O'Donnell remained unbeaten on 60 and 11 respectively as Brave got across the line with six wickets in hand with seven balls to spare. Angus Schaw (1/35), Brett Randell (1/28) and Joey Field (2/22) entered the wickets column for the Stags but they failed to defend the total.

Earlier, the Stags were asked to bat first and they lost Dean Foxcroft (7) and Mason Hughes (6) cheaply. Dane Cleaver (12) and skipper Tom Bruce (11) got starts but fell in the eighth over. Curtis Heaphy was joined by Sam Cassidy and both led the recovery work. Both kept the Brave at bay in the middle overs.

Heaphy and Cassidy put 94 between them before the latter fell one short of his fifty in the final over of the innings. Heaphy remained unbeaten on 45 as the Stags finished their innings on 146/5. The fifth-wicket stand helped the Stags get to a respectable total.

For the Brave, Matthew Fisher bowled brilliantly and ended with figures of 3/19 from his four overs. Scott Kuggeleijn picked up two scalps, giving away 33 runs in his four-over spell. There was a delayed start to the second innings due to sunstrike. The Brave batters then stepped up and backed up their bowlers to chase down the revised target.
