Milestone
Not the ending we were hoping for, but inclement weather in Sylhet meant only 18.2 overs were possible in this final contest. The Netherlands didn’t get a chance to chase and fight for a consolation win after losing the series 0-2.

For now, this is Ajay Pal Singh, signing off on behalf of my colleagues Arijit Kundu, Ghanendra Singh Thakur, and Mohammad Anab. Goodbye!!!!
Litton Das collects the trophy and joins his teammates to pose with it in front of winner's board.
Litton Das (Bangladesh Captain & POTS): "It is a good to see the way our batters batted, especially the ones coming down the order. But we want our main batters to bat more, especially in the middle overs of an innings.

Taskin Ahmed and Mustafizur Rahman are our key bowlers and they have done well.

It is a good series win for us  and gives us momentum ahead of the upcoming Asia Cup. All credit goes to team members and the coaching staff for this series win. Definitely, we played good cricket throughout the series.

Also, credit goes to the Dutch team who came here on a short notice and we are grateful to them. They played some wonderful cricket in this T20I series."
Player of the Series: Litton Das
Scott Edwards (Netherlands Captain): "Yeah, absolutely. We would have loved to have some sort of batting to finish on a high but it wasn't to be.

Yeah, Litton got away from us at the start. Credit to our bowlers, we bowled well to restrict them to what we thought was a lot less than what we had thought with the start they had got.

As we said from the start of the tour. We wanted to learn playing in these conditions with the next World Cup in India and Sri Lanka.

We go back to Netherlands, then guys go back to different parts of the world and then we get back together near the New Years.

Yeah, it has been amazing being in Bangladesh. All the best to them for the Asia Cup, they are going with a lot of form."
Right then, time for the post-series presentation...
9:12 PM IST and 9:42 PM Local Time: That's it from this encounter. The rain has had the last laugh, and Bangladesh win the three-match series 2-0. It has been an interrupted evening at the venue. Firstly, the floodlights glitched, followed by a couple of times when the showers forced the players off the ground.

Earlier in the toss, the Netherlands decided to break the jinx and field first. However, it didn't pay well as Bangladesh reached the fifty runs mark rapidly, courtesy of Litton Das' blitz. Although Said Hassan was a goner within the powerplay, Das powered the hosts to 67/1 in six overs.

Subsequently, the rain poured in, following a floodlight malfunction, allowing the reintroduction of Dutch spin to apply brakes and bait Towhid Hridoy. But Shamim Hossain assisted Das brilliantly as the pair aggregated 44 runs together before the wicketkeeper faltered for 73 off 46 balls. Shamim followed suit in the same over before Jaker Ali and Nurul Hasan lit up the stage with cameos, only to be interrupted by the showers for the second time. The prolonged shower had the players testing and eventually, the game was called off.
