Salman Ali Agha hands the trophy to a couple of youngsters, who join the rest of the team for the celebratory photos. Pakistan are crowned Tri-Series champions.
Salman Ali Agha (Pakistan Captain): "I think we knew that a score around 140 would be challenging. Once we got there, we knew that it's going to be a tough run chase for them.

(On Mohammad Nawaz) Since he has made his comeback, I think he has been doing an outstanding job. He is delivering with both bat and ball. He has been brilliant in fielding too. Whenever we are in tough situations going forward, Nawaz can be the guy to go to for us.

We were asked to play two spinners especially by our ex-cricketers and also in social media. But, we will play two spinners whenever we need to. We just can't play two spinners just like that. We come to the ground, assess the conditions and then we make a decision accordingly. They wanted us to play two spinners. We played two spinners and it worked for us today.

This series was very tough for us here in Sharjah. We wanted to prepare ourselves for Asia Cup. People obviously wanted us to win this game as well. But for us, it was always preparing for the Asia Cup. That's the main goal for us.

((Preparations for the Asia Cup) I think we are doing a really good job as a team since the Bangladesh series. We are in a really good shape. We are fully ready for the Asia Cup."
Rashid Khan (Afghanistan Captain): "Well, the surface was a 130-140 kind of a wicket. We had to play good cricket. I felt that today we didn't play the brand of cricket which we wanted to. I think that's why we lost 5-6 wickets early in the innings.

Totally surprised to be honest. I wasn't expecting it to spin today. That's a typical Sharjah wicket. It always gives you wrong indications. But still, we had to play our best cricket which we didn't today. In T20 cricket, you hardly get a chance to make a comeback. I think it's a great learning for us ahead of the Asia Cup.

(Preparations for the Asia Cup) In the last 8-9 months, we haven't played much T20 cricket as a team. After that, to play such a tough series, it always gives you a positive energy in the team. It really helped us ahead of the Asia Cup. It's going to be an exciting Asia Cup for our team."
Mohammad Nawaz (POTM & POTS): "To be honest, the plan was very simple. We knew that the pitch was very difficult for batting. At the halfway stage, we knew that we got enough runs on the board. Disciplined bowling was important which we did and we found success.

When I bowled the first two balls, there was some turn. So, I knew in what pace I had to bowl in this surface. I wanted to keep the stumps and pads in the game.

I am feeling very good. I am in a good rhythm as well. I try to keep things simple. I try to execute in the middle.

Well, with the bat in hand. They have world class spinners so I wanted to take my time in the middle and then play the strokes. We were looking for 140-150 which we eventually got."
