Milestone
You'd probably see social media flooding with comments of "Hong Kong can hold their head high" post this. However, an autopsy of their performance will tell you that they only had themselves to blame for their loss. Yet again, their campaign ends with nothing but an exhibition of potential and a promise of a better future. When will that future arrive? Who knows.

Meanwhile, the Charith Asalanka and co. now have a foot in the Super 4s. If Bangladesh lose tomorrow, both Afghanistan and Sri Lanka will be through. Hence, there is a lot to look forward to. Join us at 7:00 PM IST (5:30 PM local time) for the live coverage of that match.

For now, it is the troika of Darpan Tikiya, Pritam Dey and Bishal Mandal signing off. Keep following Crex for more cricketing action from around the world. Sayonara!

Charith Asalanka (Sri Lanka Captain): "Well, in that moment actually, we all had our hearts in our mouths. I am very disappointed with the way we batted today. If I am not mistaken, in the 16th over we lost a couple of crucial wickets and then I lost my wicket too which allowed them to comeback in the game.

I think in the shorter format, these kind of things do happen but consistently it cannot happen. We need to analyze it thoroughly and improve ourselves.

I felt confident on the target which was set. The pitch looked very good and credit goes to them as well because they batted really well. At the same time, I think we bowled badly in the first three overs.

This is not the way we wanted to play. There is always pressure when you allow the opposition side to comeback in the game. We are professionals so we need to perform better."
Yasim Murtaza (Hong Kong captain): "To be honest, I am really proud of the way boys stood up today. Especially the way Anshy (Anshuman Rath) and Nizakat (Khan) batted. Yes, we dropped catches. I think that is what cost us the game. Before the game, we thought 150 was a par score. The positive thing is that playing on the big stage is like a dream come true."
Pathum Nissanka (Player of the Match): "It was not an easy to bat. Hong Kong bowled really well. I wanted to drag the innings till the end and win it for my side. I am very very happy with the way I am batting."
Player of the Match: Pathum Nissanka
