11:06 PM IST & Local Time | Phew! What an enthralling match we just had. Kranthi Kumar holds his nerves in the last over and defends 16 runs, as a result Mangaluru Dragons jump to the Top on the Points Table, beating Shivamogga Lions by 5 runs.
Earlier, Mangaluru Dragons won the toss and opted to bat first. They put up an above par score of 200/5 on the board on the back of Lochan S Gowda's knock of 63 off 32 balls.
Darshan MB and V Kaverappa bagged 2 wickets apiece for their side despite being on the receiving end.
Chasing 201, Tushar Singh came out all guns blazing for his side. Nihal Ullal chipped in with 13 runs before getting out to Abhilash Shetty with a score of 55 on the board.
Tushar Singh continued his onslaught from the other end and made a solid 89-run stand with Aneeshwar Gautam for the second wicket. Shivamogga Lions were cruising away with 58 runs required in 6 overs and 9 wickets in hand.
