12:05 AM IST & Local Time | PHEW! What a thrilling match we just had! Bengaluru Blasters clinch victory over Hubli Tigers and they jump in the Top 2 of the Points Table beating Hubli Tigers by 3 wickets on the back of an outstanding innings by MG Naveen.
Earlier, Bengaluru Blasters won the toss and opted to bowl first on a damp wicket. Hubli Tigers posted a total of 141/8 on the board on the back of Shivkumar Rakshith's unbeaten knock of 61 runs in 42 balls.
MG Naveen and Vidyadhar Patil bagged 2 wickets apiece and they bowled brilliantly.
Chasing 142, Bengaluru Blasters lost Rohan Patil early with a score of 7 on the board. Chethan LR and Mayank Agarwal then chipped with a 38-run stand for the second wicket to steady the ship for their side.
Mayank Agarwal was then dismissed by KC Cariappa in the 7th over. Chethan LR fell shortly after it. Bhuvan Raju and Shubhang Hegde failed to make any vital contributions and both got out, leaving their side reeling on 83-5.
Yash Punja then sent back Rohan Naveen and Madhav P Bajaj in consecutive balls to put the Blasters off the back-foot. With 34 runs required off 18 balls, the game was going out of hands for the Blasters.
MG Naveen had other plans, he played a quickfire knock of 33* runs in just 12 balls and helped his side get over the line by 3 wickets in the last over. Stay tuned for the presentations!
