11:24 PM IST & Local Time | Hubli Tigers jump to the Top of the points table as they cruise past Mangaluru Dragons in a low scoring thriller by a margin of 23 runs.
Earlier, Mangaluru Dragons won the toss and opted to bowl first. Hubli Tigers managed to post a mere total of 152/7 on the board on the back of Devdutt Padikkal and Abhinav Manohar.
Kranthi Kumar was the pick of the bowler for his team as he bagged 3 wickets and gave away 40 runs in his 4 overs.
Chasing 153, Sharath BR and Lochan S Gowda started on a positive note for their side and the Dragons were crusing on 39-0 inside 4 overs. KC Cariappa then came into the attack and dismissed Sharath BR and Aneesh KV inside 3 balls.
Lochan S Gowda fell shortly after it as well. Thippa Reddy and Macneil Noronha then combined together and made 48 runs for the fourth wicket to get their side in the driver's seat. KC Cariappa and Yash Punja then bowled a dream spell as they got back to back wickets in a span of few balls, as a result Dragons collapsed from 107-3 to 115-7.
Wickets fell at regular intervals and the required rate kept going up. Nathan D'Mello and Shreesha Achar picked up 2 wickets apiece as well and made sure there are no more hiccups in the game, eventually bundling out Mangaluru Dragons on 129, falling 23 runs short of the target.
