After rain reduced the second innings to 9 overs, Sisodia started off with a bang. He went berserk against Vidwath Kaverappa, smashing the first three balls for a maximum and two fours. This assault set the tempo for the chase.
Jose took matters into his hands when he smashed Kaverappa for 24 balls in his next over. Things flattened from there on.
Sisodia completed his fifty off just 21 balls and ended with 58*, while Nikin Jose also stayed unbeaten on 34* off 15 balls. As a result, they chased down the target in 6.3 overs by 10 wickets.
Earlier in the evening, Shivamogga Lions managed to score 127/5 after 15.5 overs after rain decided to disturb. For Gulbarga Mystics, things looked ominous early on when Nihal Ullal set the tone with a quickfire 17 runs off 10 balls before Dhruv Prabhakar and Tushar Singh were in aggressive mode, as they established a partnership of 40 runs for the second wicket.
However, post the first timeout, Gulbarga Mystics roared back into the game with the wicket of Tushar Singh for 22 runs and followed it up with Dhruv Parbhakar's wicket for 44 runs in a space of 5 balls! With both set batters gone, Mystics put the pressure on and picked up 2 further wickets before rain interfered and stopped play with 25 balls remaining in the first innings.
