He notched up an 82 run partnership of just 45 balls with Aneesh KV who was going under run a ball.
After the dismissal, Mangaluru Dragons lost track of the scoring rate with wickets falling in regular intervals. They somehow managed to get to 179/8 at the end of 20 overs. Vasuki Koushik was the pick of the bowlers picking up 3 wickets for just 23 runs in his 4 overs.
Coming out to chase 180, Shivamogga Lions never got going. The ball was seaming and the batters were having a tough time in the middle. They were hit with initial setbacks in the powerplay and they could only notch up 31 runs for 2 wickets. No Shivamogga Lions batter managed to keep a hold on the rising asking rate. Rohit K was the top scorer of the inning, but he failed to increase his strike rate with the asking rate. He added 62 runs off 51 balls, with 6 fours and 3 sixes in it.
Tushar Singh came in as an impact player and played a blitz knock scoring 23 off 9 balls with 3 sixes in it, bringing them closer to the total.
