Milestone
Time for us to conclude our coverage of the 5th T20 match of Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 2025 between Bengaluru Blasters and Hubli Tigers. Hubli Tigers have won a nail-biting thriller in the final ball and have made it two in to so far in this tournament.

For now, this is the troika of Saptak Sanyal, Deepak Prakash and Yogesh Kumar signing off. Don't go anywhere as we have the second game of today's double-header lined up.
Devdutt Padikkal (Hubli Tigers Captain): "Of course when the game goes to the last over, it is always tight. The belief was there. It felt that in the last couple of overs, there were relatively inexperienced bowlers.

It is always great to win. We keep the dressing room talks light."
Player of the Match: Mohammed Taha
7:22 PM IST and Local Time | A sensational batting display from the Hubli Tigers has fetched them with a incredible victory. The game was a cliffhanger and Tigers have pulled it off in the final ball of the run chase. Shivkumar Rakshith is the star of the death overs and Taha's brilliance combined to give the Tigers a fantastic win.

Bengaluru Blasters batted first in the game as Devdutt Padikkal won the toss and sent them in. Chethan LR and Rohan Patil gave them a steady start and just after Chethan's dismissal, Rohan Patil led the innings with Mayank Agarwal at the other end. Mayank scored only 9 in their 47-run stand and got out. Rohan Patil hit 8 fours and 5 sixes to score 80 runs off 43 balls.

Suraj Ajya Ahuja and Bhuvan Raju contributed some runs but two Naveen's were the stars of the death overs. They added 54 runs in their partnership in 17 balls. Rohan Naveen remained unbeaten on 24 off 7 balls and MG Naveen scored an unbeaten 27 off 11.

Yash Punja took 3 wickets for 43 runs and KC Cariappa took 2 wickets for 25 runs for the Hubli Tigers.

Hubli Tigers came to chase the target of 226 and they started finding the boundaries right from the first over. Prakhar Chaturvedi and Mohammed Taha were batting well before the former got run out for 18 off 14 balls. But Taha continued the blitzkrieg and hit boundaries for fun. He went on with the momentum despite losing Devdutt Padikkal and Karthikeya KP.

Taha hit a boundary in every over almost and his partnership with Abhinav Manohar was the difference creator between the two sides. They added 83 runs off 37 balls for the 4th wicket and Abhinav Manohar got out on 33 off 17 balls. He was playing the second fiddle but started accelerating just before gifting away his wicket. Taha went on to complete his second consecutive hundred of this tournament in 53 balls. He hit 9 fours and 7 maximums on his way to score 101. A spectacular catch from Vidyadhar Patil at backward point ended his innings. Manvanth Kumar then hit a couple of maxims to score 18 off 9 balls.

The drama was at it's peak in the final over. Hubli Tigers' head coach Vinay Kumar decided to retire Samarth Nagaraj who was struggling to time the ball. Two balls later, the replacement batter Ritesh Bhatkal got run out. With 14 needed off the final 3 balls, Shivakumar Rakshith took the charge and hit two back to back sixes to reduce the equation to 2 off 1. Then he hit the last ball for a boundary to seal the victory for his side.

WHAT A VICTORY!! Rakshith hits the low full toss for a boundary and celebrates it in style. He takes his helmet off and his teammates run to applaud him. Bengaluru Blasters are in agony.
19.6 P Jain to S Rakshith
4 FOUR RUNS! Rakshith has done it for the Tigers, as they win the last-ball thriller! Low full toss on the stumps. Rakshith moves his front leg across and swings at it. He gets the inner half of the bat on it, and it was enough to take the ball towards vacant deep mid-wicket for a boundary. Hubli Tigers have chased down 225 runs on the final ball of the game with 2 wickets in hand. The Tigers have won two matches in a row, while the Blasters have now lost two in a row.
TAKE A BOW!!!! Shivakumar Rakshith has hit two maximums and brought his team back in the game. Hubli Tigers need only 2 from the last ball.
