With this, it brings curtains down to our coverage of the Uttar Pradesh T20 league 2025. After 34 nerve-wrecking contests between six extraordinary teams, we found our ultimate champions in Kashi Rudras, who won their second title, denying Meerut Mavericks their second straight trophy. A massive congratulations to Karan Sharma and team, but the Rinku Singh and Madhav Kaushik-led side were no less. That's the nature of sport; someone wins and the other loses.
This is it from our end in this season UP T20. See you there in some other intriguing game of cricket. This is Arjun Bhalla, signing off on behalf of Mohammad Anab, Manan Mehta and Bishal Mandal for the day!
Karan Sharma (Kashi Rudras Captain): "We were excited for the final tonight and luckily, I got the chance to play the match-winning knock.
As a captain, it is important to set an example but our team was focusing on keeping our plans simple and implement them in the games.
Our pacers have been great, especially Sunil Kumar who has taken a wicket in the first over of the innings in almost 10 games of this year's tournament.
We have created a good team. The atmosphere in the team has been very positive.
I would like to thank Rajeev Shukla sir for organising this tournament at a very large-scale. I think after IPL, UP Premier League is the biggest T20 tournament in India."
Rajeev Shukla hands over a winningcheque of INR 1 Crore and the silverware to Karan Sharma.
Madhav Kaushik (Meerut Mavericks Captain): "Definitely disappointing. We were 35-40 runs short, and I take the blame too for not scoring the runs. We made many mistakes at different time's, including costly fielding lapses. Nonetheless, it is a learning curve, and we will bounce back."
Captain of Meerut Mavericks, Madhav Kaushik, receives a cheque of INR 60 Lakhs and the runners-up shield.
Player of the Season: Karan Sharma
A cheque of INR 11 Lakhs to all UPCA Pitch Curators and Ground Staff!
