That’s all from this one-sided contest, folks! AB de Villiers was on a rampage here in Leicester, and we hope you enjoyed our coverage. For now, it’s me, Deepak Prakash, signing off on behalf of co-commentators Aditya Agarwal, Utsav Chandak, and scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. Good night!
Eoin Morgan (England Champions Captain): "Yeah, it was a tough day for us. The conditions were brilliant, so full credit to the curator and ground staff for preparing such an excellent wicket. Honestly, we've been a bit short on runs throughout the tournament, but nothing quite like today — we were about 40 runs short, which is significant. Once South Africa got going, there was no way to pull it back. Dropping AB in the middle didn’t help either — he’s a player of the highest class. A lot of people came for entertainment today, and I’m sure they weren’t disappointed.

We’re just trying to get something going. Our bowlers have been very good throughout the tournament, and the fielding has been solid as well. It’s really the top-order batting — the top four or five — that hasn’t quite delivered as expected. We were hoping to find a bit more impetus today, but unfortunately, it didn’t happen, which is disappointing. That said, we have one game left on Sunday against India, and hopefully, we can do something special there.

Geez, some of the shots and the overall quality of cricket we've seen throughout this tournament have been brilliant. I believe it will only get better year after year, especially with more players retiring from international cricket and joining leagues like this. South Africa have played really well — they've shown some quality cricket in this tournament, and I have no doubt they'll continue to win."
AB de Villiers(POTM & South Africa Champions Captain) : " I batted pretty decently from the start. I got a few in the middle not my best but I wanted to be positive. It is an amazing wicket, there is a bit of nip in the surface. We did well to restrict them.

I played my last game in February. It was tough for me to start into the tournament due to fitness but I picked it up. Overall it was a fantastic performance from our side. I acknowledged the fact that I was being asked to captain the side."

Time for the post-match presentations.
11:35 PM IST, 7:05 PM Local Time: When AB de Villiers gets going, there's no stopping him — and he proved it once again. Mr. 360 went on a carnage here in Leicester, helping his side chase down 152 runs with 46 balls to spare, thanks to his scintillating unbeaten 116 off just 51 balls. South Africa Champions have won three matches on the trot in this tournament, while England Champions' search for their first win continues.

Earlier, after being put in to bat by AB de Villiers, England Champions posted a total of 152/6 in their 20 overs. While no batter went on to score big, a string of useful contributions from Phil Mustard (39 off 33), Samit Patel (24 off 16), Eoin Morgan (20 off 14), and Tim Ambrose (19* off 16) helped England reach a respectable total.

The innings started with Ravi Bopara opening alongside Mustard, but he fell early to Wayne Parnell. Mustard and Patel then steadied the ship with a 47-run stand, but both fell in quick succession, triggering a phase of regular dismissals. England struggled to build momentum in the second half of the innings due to the lack of partnerships.

South Africa Champions bowled with discipline, led by Imran Tahir, who returned outstanding figures of 2/17 in 4 overs. Wayne Parnell chipped in with a couple of wickets, while Duanne Olivier and Chris Morris contributed one wicket each.

In reply, AB de Villiers went absolutely bonkers from the outset, pummeling the England Champions' bowlers to all corners of the park. While Hashim Amla focused on strike rotation, ABD continued his carnage, racing to a century in just 41 balls.

The England Champions failed to break the opening stand, as Amla (29) and de Villiers (116) remained unbeaten and guided their side to a commanding 10-wicket victory with 46 balls to spare.

Stay tuned for the presentation.....
