Milestone
That's it for the coverage from Day 2 folks! Join us back tomorrow as we bring you all the action from Day 3 of this encounter!

Until then, this is Anirudh Modi, signing off along with my colleagues Darpan Tikiya and Rajesh Pal! See you at the next one.
4:40 PM IST, Local Time | Stumps, Day 2 | The light meter is out again, and the umpires have decided to call it a day. A day of dominance with the bat for Madhya Pradesh as the scoreboard reads 195/4 after 78 overs, they trail by 65 runs in the first innings.

Day 2 began with Saurashtra batting on 258/8 in the first innings, but Madhya Pradesh made short work of their tail in the first session when Aryan Pandey dismissed Sakariya and Dodiya early to grab a 4-fer, and end Saurashtra's first innings at 260 all-out! Aryan Pandey finished with 4/31, complementing Kumar Kartikeya's 4/84 from Day 1.

There were early troubles for the MP openers as Sakariya and Unadkat bowled with precision and discipline. However, the resolve of Harsh Gawli and Yash Dubey saw them survive the first session and establish an 87-run opening stand before Unadkat dismissed Gawli for 32 runs at the beginning of the post-lunch session.

Mantri joined hands with Dubey in the middle for 63-run partnership for the second wicket and successfully played until tea to put Madhya Pradesh in a strong position. Prerak Mankad and Sammar Gajjar were introduced into the attack post-tea, and both worked their magic to grab 2 in quick succession at the start of the final session.

Mankad found the edge of Mantri to send him back after scoring 32 runs, and Gajjar chimed the timber noise to dismiss skipper Shubham Sharma for a 9-ball duck! Dodiya turned up the heat late into the final session as he trapped Bhatia in front for 9 runs, who had earlier survived the same fate to Jadeja due to a no-ball!

Since then, Yash Dubey has stood tall for MP, and is currently batting unbeaten on 109 runs off 236 balls, with night watchman Kumar Kartikeya in tow on 1 run.

Madhya Pradesh are constantly chipping away at Saurashtra's total, and the latter will need to pick up wickets in a flurry to prevent Madhya Pradesh from taking a big first innings lead on Day 3!
