Tabraiz Shamsi (Player of the Match): "I think Iām just lucky to be standing here. The bowlers have done very well and they did my job easier. We just tried to restrict their batters as low as possible. Iām happy with the bowling unit for restricting them. Itās been amazing. The atmosphere is unbelievable. Great stadium. All the teams have been well-supported. Amazing to be a part of the Big Bash and long may it continue."

1:54 PM IST, 6:54 PM Local Time: That will be it. Adelaide Strikers end their campaign on a winning note. They beat Melbourne Renegades comprehensively by eight wickets in front of their home crowd. Their bowlers set up things brilliantly before the batters stepped up and wrapped up the game with over eight overs to spare.
Letās have a recap of this contest. The Renegades got off to a worst possible start after being inserted to bat. They lost Tim Seifert (0) and Jake Fraser-McGurk (0) on the first two balls. Mohammad Rizwan (17) fell in the final over of the powerplay.
The Renegadesā batters got starts but failed to carry on as they were reduced to 71/8 in the 13th over. Skipper Will Suherland fought hard and scored 28-ball 38 before holing out in the deep. The Renegades eventually got bundled out on 99 in 16.5 overs.
It was a complete bowling performance from the Strikers. Tabraiz Shamsi was the standout among them, with him registering figures of 4/15. Jerrssis Wadia (2/11) and Lloyd Pope (2/23) picked up two scalps each to derail the Renegades.
Chasing 100, Alex Carey and skipper Matthew Short got the Strikers off to a flying start. Carey played some lovely strokes and scored 15-ball 22 before departing in the final over of the powerplay as the 37-run opening stand was broken. Chris Lynn at three started positively.
Short scored 30 off 22 before holing out in the deep in the ninth over to Callum Stow. Liam Scott joined Lynn and both made sure that the Strikers wrapped up the chase quickly and end their campaign on a winning note. Lynn and Scott remained unbeaten on 27 and 18 respectively as the Strikers chased down the total in just 11.5 overs with eight wickets in hand.
