After brushing aside Zimbabwe at home, New Zealand Women face a new challenge as they take on South Africa Women in a five-match T20I series. The first game will be played at Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui on Sunday (March 15).
The White Ferns are the defending champions in this format, and with the World Cup not too far away, this series will give them a chance to iron out their flaws ahead of the mega event.
New Zealand will be boosted by the return of Suzie Bates, Georgia Plimmer and Flora Devonshire. The trio had been sidelined with injuries but have now recovered and are available for selection.
Bates had suffered a quad tear, Plimmer a shoulder injury, while Devonshire was out with a broken finger.
Also returning to the side is legendary all-rounder Sophie Devine. The 36-year-old last played for the White Ferns during the ODI World Cup in 2025. Amelia Kerr, who led the side to a series sweep over Zimbabwe, will captain the hosts as they look to gain momentum ahead of the World Cup.
On the other hand, South Africa Women are also coming into the series on the back of a win over Pakistan.
Marizanne Kapp, however, will not be available as she continues her recovery after missing the third T20I against Pakistan at home due to illness.
There is one change to the Proteas Women’s squad from the last series. Tumi Sekhukhune has come in for Lara Goodall, while the rest of the squad remains unchanged.
Which team will get the upper hand early on in this five-match series? To find out, tune in at 6:15 AM IST, 1:45 PM Local Time for its live coverage.
