That brings an end to our coverage of this game. Keep joining us for more cricketing action from all around the globe. For now, this is Akshay Bhide, signing off, on behalf of scorer Manish Bishnoi and stats guy Aman. Bye bye.
Harry Brook collects the winners trophy. England win the T20I series by a 1-0 margin.
Harry Brook (England Captain): “Absolutely. It’s disappointing to play only one game but we had an amazing game last night and it’s good moving ahead towards the T20 World Cup.

We have a lot of depth in the batting and skillful bowlers who can close out the game. We are in a good position.

We have worked on it. We have tried to spend a lot of time together and have fun. This tour has been amazing for us as a group.

There will be few changes. Big few names coming back. We are looking forward to Sunday and will look to carry the momentum forward.”
Mitchell Santner (New Zealand Captain): “Yeah, I think so. At the start of the year, this was potential but a lot of positives coming off this series. Nice to play against England.

I think the way we bowled in the first game at the Hagley. We didn’t get the opportunity to bat but it was a good wicket and the way we bowled was a positive thing for us.

It’s more about how you want to approach. The conditions here are different than what we will get in Sri Lanka or India. But it’s about trying different combinations and getting ready. We also have a series against West Indies before the event.”
Harry Brook (Player of the Series): “Very frustrating. But it’s good to get game time for the boys. It’s a great place to tour. I had an amazing time so far. We are looking forward to the ODI series now.”

2:41 PM IST, 10:11 PM Local Time: And here comes the announcement. Rain has the final say at Eden Park tonight as the third and final game of the T20I series has been abandoned due to rain. A damp end to the series. And with that, England win the three-match series by a 1-0 margin.

New Zealand were asked to bat first tonight and after three balls, rain arrived and halted the action at Eden Park. After a long break, the play resumed with the match being reduced to 14 overs per side. Tim Seifert started aggressively and played some wonderful strokes. His partner Tim Robinson was sent packing on two in the second over by Brydon Carse.

In walked Rachin Ravindra at number three. Seifert and Rachin hit some lusty blows and the Kiwis were placed at 38/1 after 3.4 overs before the rain returned. No further play was possible as persistent rain meant that the match officials had to call off the game.
