That's it from a fantastic Trans Tasman series! Australia dominating in two games in almost all the facets to take the trophy. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Akshay Bhide, scorer Manish Bishnoi and statistician Aman. Stay tuned for more action from around the world.
Mitchell Marsh collects the Chappell-Hadlee Trophy from New Zealand legend Richard Hadlee and celebrates with the squad after posing for the official pictures.
Mitchell Marsh (Australia Captain): "Yeah, absolutely. When you are chasing 160, you want to finish the game quickly. As I said before, it was nice to get across the line and win the series.
Obviously with the wicket being under covers for the last coupe of days, there was some seam movement. It died down as the game progressed. 160 is always tricky if you lose wickets. Proud to get over the line.
Every team in the world is building towards the World Cup. T20 is not going to be straightforward but one thing we can control is the batting intent.
Go home and see my daughter. Spend a week with her and get back with the team."
Michael Bracewell (New Zealand Captain): "We needed to take the wicket of Mitch Marsh and we would have put some pressure on them. We did everything we could using all our resources but sometimes it happens. You have to tip your hat sometimes. He scored 100 off 150 runs.
The pitch was under covers for a couple of days with a lot of rain around. But you look for those improvements trying to hit 20 or 30 more runs every game.
These are fine margins in T20. You have very less sample size to narrow down. Hopefully in the future we can play a longer series and come on top of the opposition."
Mitchell Marsh (Player of the Match & Player of the Series):"Obviously, nice to win the series. There was pressure in the end but great to win a series in New Zealand.
I had a bit of luck. When you get going, it's important to keep going. It's important to keep that intent. That's how we are playing at the moment.
It was a pretty scratchy game. As I said, it's nice to get over the line. It was close than we would have liked but happy to get the win."
