It was a frustrating evening for everyone at the Bay Oval as rain played spoilsport. After a long delay, play finally got underway with a 9-over contest, and Michael Bracewell chose to have Australia bat first. Jacob Duffy struck early, removing Travis Head for just 5 in the second over. However, only 13 balls were bowled before the rain returned, effectively ending the match.
With no further play possible, Australia retain the Chappell-Hadlee Trophy, and all eyes now turn to the 3rd and final T20I scheduled for tomorrow. You have got a squad of 14 guys for a reason and you want to give everyone a chance. We thought that making those changes tonight would be the right idea.

The ground staff are rushing onto the field with the covers. They have rolled out the massive sheets to cover the square. At this stage, any further play tonight looks highly unlikely.
