Another commanding performance by the Women in Blue against the Women in Green. Despite not being at their absolute best, India cruised to victory without much trouble. The result once again highlighted the clear gap in skill and temperament between the two sides. Pakistan have now faced India 12 times in WODIs—and on every occasion, including tonight, they've come up short.

India's next game is against South Africa in Vizag, while Pakistan will face Australia in Colombo.

For now, that's all we have for you. This is Ajay Pal Singh, signing off on behalf of my colleagues AkshayaKrishna Polya, Ashok Dayma and Aman. Goodbye, good night!!!
Harmanpreet Kaur (India Women Captain): "Definitely, very happy. Important game for us, I am sure everyone at home is also happy.

I think, the kind of bowling we did today. Kranti was outstanding. Renuka was helping her to get those wickets. I think we bowled well overall, created too many chances but unfortunately dropped those. But you feel happy, when you win.

To be honest, it was not an easy wicket to bat on. We just wanted to bat deep and see how many runs we can get. When we played here in the tri-series, it was a totally different surface. Rain for a few days, changing the surface. Richa was crucial with those 30 runs in the end.

There are a lot of areas but right now I am happy that we won this game. We wanted the momentum when we go back to India. We won't be playing any more games here. We know how the pitches are in India, let's see what is the best combination for us and how we can improve our cricket day by day."
Fatima Sana (Pakistan Women Captain): "Yeah, I think, at the start, we gave away too many runs in the powerplay. We gave away too many extras at the start as well as in the death overs.

When I bowled, it was seaming a bit. Diana Baig was a bit confused whether to go for seam or swing. I told her what to do continuously. She will be okay in the next game.

If we had restricted them to under 200, then it would have been a good total for us. Still, we lost this by some runs.

I believed that tonight's batting line-up is the best one for us. They are proper batters in the top 5. They need to step up in the upcoming games. We need to explore ourselves in the batting. We need long partnerships and bat according to the conditions by assessing them.

Sidra Ameen is the main player in our team. She is a hard-working player. Hope that the God will help her. Hope that she will be good in the next match as well."

Kranti Goud (POTM): "I am feeling really good. To win the player of the match that too in a World Cup. My family members and everyone back home at the village will be really happy. They have put on a big LED to watch the game. It is a proud moment for everyone.

(On wicket of Aliya Riaz) Yes, I did ask the captain for a second slip. Harmanpreet said the ball is old now, we should not get the second slip. I told her, no let's keep it in this over and in the same over, I got the wicket.

I just want to say, my coach just tells me to keep it simple and that is what I try to do."
