After a historic performance that saw them clinch their first-ever T20I series win over a full-member nation, Nepal are now eyeing a clean sweep against the two-time T20 World Cup champions, West Indies. The two sides will meet in the third and final T20I at the Sharjah Cricket Ground on Tuesday (September 30).

If the first game was closely contested, the second made it clear that Nepal deserve more opportunities to compete against the big teams.

The Rhinos completely outplayed the West Indies in all three departments to register a commanding 90-run victory and seal the series with a game to spare.

Batting first, Nepal rode on half-centuries from Aasif Sheikh and Sundeep Jora to post a formidable 173/6 in 20 overs.

Mohammad Aadil Alam, playing his first game in three years, was the only other batter to reach double figures besides the two half-centurions.

Akeal Hosein and Kyle Mayers picked up two wickets each, while Jediah Blades got one.

In response, the West Indies lost Jewel Andrew in the third over, with Keacy Carty following him back to the pavilion in the very next over.

At the end of the powerplay, the Windies had just 16 runs on the board for the loss of two wickets. Kyle Mayers fell soon after, having added 18 runs for the third wicket alongside Ackeem Auguste.

Auguste was the next to throw his wicket away. The Windies managed a few small partnerships in the middle overs, but with wickets falling at regular intervals, they were eventually bowled out for just 83 in 17.1 overs.

Jason Holder was the top run-getter with a knock of 21. Amir Jangoo (16) and Auguste (17) were the only other batters who got to double figures in a sorry-looking card for the Men in Maroon.

Mohammad Aadil Alam was the pick of the bowlers for Nepal, finishing with figures of 4 for 24 from his four overs. Kushal Bhurtel claimed three wickets, while Dipendra Singh Airee, Karan KC, and Lalit Rajbanshi chipped in with one each.
