That’s all from this rain-shortened match turned into a 9-over contest, folks! For now, it's me, Arjun Bhalla, signing off on behalf of scorer/analyst Dushyant Madhukar Kumar. CHEERS!
Rohan Raje (POTM): "After the rain, the wicket got sticky. Batting there was tough. I took my time initially by seeing off the first few balls. I backed my natural game and it paid off as I took chances after seeing off the ball initially in my innings.

My game plan was simple - I wanted to hit the long ball as momentum was important at that stage."
Player of the Match: Rohan Raje
Siddhesh Lad (MSC Maratha Royals Captain): "Yeah, it's a satisfying win, especially after a grinding practice of two weeks. It is always fruitful. Now looking forward to the next game. We did lose the toss, but the boys were motivated.

Rohan was terrific. I think he took his chances. We wanted the momentum and he gave us that by hitting three sixes in an over.

Kudos to the groundsmen as well. At one time, it seemed very difficult but they prepared the ground after such rain."
Maximum Sixers in the Match: Rohan Raje
Most Dot Balls in the Match: Shams Mulani
Time for post-match presentation!
Shams Mulani (Aakash Tigers MWS Captain): "I think we lost the game when we dropped (Rohan) Raje when he came in. Things could have been different if we had taken that, but that's the part and parcel of the game. It was the turning point in my opinion.

Before the rain, the wicket was different. After the game, it changed a bit. Spinners came into the picture and we had already submitted our team sheet. Dropped chances also played their part.

Great signs for us on how Bista and Arjun Dani batted. Hopefully, we have a great game tomorrow."
6:49 PM IST and Local Time | The MSC Maratha Royals beat the Aakash Tigers MWS by a fine margin of 8 runs.

After posting a decent score on the board, thanks to Rohan Raje's unbeaten 48, the Maratha Royals posted a fine total of 96 runs after their innings of 9 overs.

In the chase, Jay Bista started off brilliantly with his fine 13-ball 23 but he kept on losing partners from the other end. Shams Mulani batted through the middle order, but he could never accelerate through the innings. Arjun Dani came in and played a berserk cameo of 16 runs, but it wasn't meant to be for the Tigers.

For the Royals, Maxwell Swaminathan spun a perfect web with his two wickets, while the rest of the spinners also bowled decently.

Stayed tuned for the post match presentation...
