Interestingly, this wasn’t a typical Super Over resulting from a tied match - it was enforced due to rain interruption. As per the tournament rules, a Super Over is played if the cut-off time for a 5-over match is crossed. Mumbai Falcons grab two important points.
Earlier, only three overs were possible in the match before rain played spoilsport. In that brief window, we saw a couple of boundaries, a six, and a wicket. With persistent rain pushing the game past the cut-off time for a 5-over contest, the tournament rules kicked in — and we were treated to a Super Over, thanks to the rain god for showing some mercy.
