That's all we have for the coverage of the match between Indian Warriors and African Lions. This is me Aditya Agarwal signing off on the behalf of Hiren Kumar and scorer/analyst Chandan Kumar Singh and Bishal Mandal. BYE, CHEERS!
Priyank Panchal (Indian Warriors Captain) : " I think the game went according to our plan. Everyone bowled really well today. Arun bowled brilliantly as well and the credit goes to him.

I think Shikhar's attitude and presence motivates us to do well in the game."
Rahul Yadav (African Lions Captain): "A very good feeling to start the tournament. I think the dew factor hurt us. Yeah, the score was good but I think we were 20-25 short. Hopefully, we can comeback strong."
Player of the Match - Pawan Negi

11:05PM IST  & Local Time | Indian Warriors emerge victorious over African Lions as they beat them comfortably by 7 wickets with 15 balls to spare.

Here's a review of what happened in the match.

Indian Warriors won the toss and opted to bowl first. African Lions lost 2 wickets early inside the powerplay. However, on the back of Shekar Sirohi and Rahul Yadav, they managed to reach to a respectable score of 195/5.

Chasing 196, Indian Warriors got off to a blistering start courtesy of their two openers Shikhar Dhawan and Priyank Panchal. The duo brought up 50-run partnership for the first wicket and were taking the game away from their opponents.

African Lions then struck on 2 consecutive balls to dismiss both the set batters. Indian Warriors were at one point reeling at 67-2.

Pawan Negi and Kedar Devdhar then joined hands together and the duo batted brilliantly for the third wicket. They added 114 runs for the third wicket before the former got out.

Arun Chaprana then came in and applied the finishing touches to get his team over the line by 7 wickets remaining.
