Sean Dickson (Player of the Match): "Not yet to be honest with you. Really happy to win it for my side.
We always talk about standing up for the team at crucial stages. Tonight, I was just trusting myself. I played my shots and glad that I connected them really well.
First of all, we made an incredible comeback with the ball restricting them to a total under 200. The support is really good in this stadium. Looking forward to Finals Day now."

2:04 AM IST & 9:34 PM Local Time: That was an absolute edge-of-the-seat thriller in the 4th Quarter Final of the T20 Blast 2025! Somerset have pulled off a stunning heist, thanks to a sensational knock from Sean Dickson. They clinch victory by 4 wickets, leaving Warwickshire shell-shocked after failing to defend 19 runs in the final over. Somerset march into Finals Day, while Warwickshire bow out in disbelief.
Warwickshire came out firing after choosing to bat, with Robert Yates and Alex Davies putting Somerset under the pump early. Yates hammered six fours in a single over off Riley Meredith, while Davies punished Craig Overton with five boundaries in the fifth. Overton managed to dismiss Yates for 25 off 10, but the Bears were already flying at 82/1 by the end of the Powerplay — a record-breaking spree of 18 fours, the most ever inside the first six overs of a T20 Blast innings. Davies kept the charge going with a captain’s knock, striking 13 fours in a blistering 71 off 39 balls as Warwickshire reached 119/2 at the halfway mark.
However, Somerset clawed their way back through smart bowling changes from skipper Lewis Gregory. Ben Green delivered the big breakthrough by removing Davies, and from there, the bowlers executed their plans brilliantly at the death, taking pace off and choking the scoring. What once looked like a 220-plus total quickly slipped away, with Warwickshire managing just 190/6 by the end. A gritty unbeaten 28 from Kai Smith offered some late resistance, while Green stood out with figures of 2/30 to help Somerset turn things around.
In reply, Somerset endured a shaky start as Warwickshire’s bowlers kept things tight in the powerplay, not allowing the batters to break free. Tom Kohler-Cadmore looked promising at the top, striking some crisp boundaries before falling at the wrong time for 32 to Oliver Hannon-Dalby. Tom Abell, meanwhile, held the innings together with a crucial anchoring role. But with wickets tumbling at regular intervals, the required rate continued to climb, piling pressure on the Somerset chase.
Then came a knock for the ages from Sean Dickson in front of his home crowd. He joined forces with Abell to inject momentum into the innings before taking matters into his own hands. With 33 needed off the final two overs, Dickson unleashed a breathtaking assault, smashing 5 fours and 6 sixes in a sensational unbeaten 71 off just 26 balls. He carried Somerset over the line with a ball to spare, sealing their place at Finals Day once again!
