Toby Albert (Player of the Match): "Lynn strikes the ball as good as anyone. We had a really good chat in the middle. We just went out there and enjoyed ourselves. It was a really good wicket to bat on and we got off to a flyer.
He (Lynn) tells me what to do and what not to do. I listen to him and try to swing the bat as hard as I can. I think over the last 4-5 years, we have been a really good side. Something went wrong last season but we are back this season.
Well, we got 1 run off the first over. In the second over, Lynn smashed a few boundaries which made things clear that the wicket was a really good one to bat on. We are really excited for Finals Day."

2:03 AM IST & 9:33 PM Local Time: Thatâs it! Hampshire charge into Finals Day once more, marking their record 11th appearance. Theyâve been all over Durham tonight, dominating across departments to seal a convincing 26-run win. This also extends their brilliant record with a 9th away quarter-final victory.
Durhamâs decision to bowl first didnât go to plan as Hampshireâs openers tore into their attack. Chris Lynn and Toby Albert went on the charge after a quiet first over from Matthew Potts, smashing 88 runs in the next five overs. By the end of the Powerplay, Hampshire had raced to 89/0 â their best start of the season. The pair kept punishing the bowlers and raised a century stand before Nathan Sowter dismissed Lynn for a quickfire 51. Toby Albert followed soon after for a classy 68, undone by Callum Parkinson. Even with both openers gone, Hampshire were in a commanding position at 126/2 in the 13th over.
James Vince and Hilton Cartwright then put together a steady 57-run stand for the third wicket. Vince made 27 before Ben Raine struck, but Cartwright shifted gears and played a scintillating knock of 61 from just 31 deliveries. He ensured Hampshire kept the tempo high despite wickets falling at the other end. The lower order couldnât quite finish with a flourish, yet the early destruction had done the job. Hampshire still posted a formidable 221/8 on the board. Potts was the pick of the Durham bowlers, returning with 2/35 in an otherwise forgettable outing for the attack.
In reply, Durhamâs chase began on a shaky note with Graham Clark falling early for just 9. Alex Lees and David Bedingham tried to inject some momentum, playing a few attacking strokes in the powerplay. However, Bedinghamâs quickfire 22 off 9 balls was cut short in the 6th over, allowing Hampshire to wrest back control. With wickets tumbling and the asking rate steadily climbing, the pressure kept piling on the hosts.
Durham needed a solid stand in the middle overs, but it never arrived as Hampshire kept striking at key moments. Jimmy Neeshamâs brisk cameo of 24 off 12 balls gave some hope, but his dismissal dented the chase further. Ollie Robinson fought valiantly till the very end with an unbeaten 60 off 33 balls, but it wasnât enough to take Durham over the line. Skipper James Vince rotated his bowlers smartly as Hampshire defended their big total comfortably, sealing a 26-run win. Benny Howell was the standout with the ball, delivering figures of 2/26.
