Earlier, Middlesex won the toss and opted to bat first. Middlesex lost their skipper Stephen Eskinazi early inside the powerplay. Ben Geddes played some good shots in his knock of 22 runs off 15 balls but he got out too.

Kane Williamson struggled with his knock today and fell cheaply too. However, Leus du Plooy came in at 4 and held one end firmly. He made a steady 68-run stand for the fourth wicket along-with Ryan Higgins.

Leus du Plooy played a solid knock of 68 runs off 45 balls and he was instrumental in getting his side to a good score. Some late hits from Luke Hollman and Joe Cracknell propelled their team to 160/5.

Fred Klaassen bagged 3 wickets to his name and impressed with the ball in hand.  

Chasing 161, Kent got off to a blazing start by their openers as Tawanda Muyeye and Harry Finch smashed 59 runs in the powerplay without any loss of wicket.

Harry Finch got out to Zafar Gohar after playing a knock of 36 runs off 28 balls. Tawana Muyeye continued his onslaught from the other end and played a solid knock of 59 runs off 41 balls before getting out.

Joe Denly chipped in with 46 runs off 31 balls before he got out to Tom Helm. In the end, Sam Billings ensured there were no hiccups and got his side over the line by 7 wickets remaining.
