That marks the end of our coverage of the 94th T20 of the T20 Blast 2025 between Leicestershire and Northamptonshire. The home side, Leicestershire did better in all the facets of the game than the Northamptonshire and secured 4 crucial points to move to the fifth position of the points table, just one position behind of Northamptonshire.

For now, this is Saptak Sanyal signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Deepak Prakash and Arijit Kundu and our scorer/analyst Chandan Kumar Singh. Good night.
1:43 AM IST and 9:13 PM Local Time | Leicestershire Foxes have completely outplayed the Northamptonshire Steelbacks to win the home game by 6 wickets and with 23 balls to go. This is a big margin of victory and it will boost their NRR highly.

Northamptonshire managed to post a competitive total of 171 despite a mid-innings collapse. After losing Tim Robinson early, skipper David Willey showed promise but couldn’t convert his start. A steady 63-run stand for the third wicket offered some stability, but a flurry of wickets pushed them to 129/7 by the 16th over. However, Ravi Bopara's composed fifty and Saif Zaib's quickfire 30 off 18 balls revived the innings. Handy contributions from Luke Procter and Ben Sanderson at the end ensured they went past the 170-run mark.

For Leicestershire, Josh Hull, Joshua Thomas, and Logan van Beek shared two wickets apiece.

Coming to chase the 172-run target, the Foxes got off to a shoddy start as they lost their opener Rishi Patel for a bronze duck. However the other opener Sol Budinger was playing his shots. He got Shan Masood by his side. Although Shan anchored the innings, Budinger's shots helped the scoreboard to move rapidly. Shan got out for 25 off 23 balls with 4 boundaries but Budinger played 22 balls to score 40 runs.

They created a strong foundation for Leicestershire in this run chase and that helped the batters who batted later. Rehan Ahmed took his time in the middle but Louis Kimber was playing his shots right from the word go. Scrimshaw got the better of him on 17 but that didn't cost the hosts. Ben Cox joined Rehan and they hit almost everything they got. Their 23-ball 55 run partnership made the run chase easy for their team. Cox remained unbeaten on 21 off 10 balls with a boundary and a couple of maximums. Rehan Ahmed who was on 13 off 12 at a stage, scored 39 from the 18 balls next. He finished it off with a boundary and took his team home by remaining unbeaten on 52 off 30 balls hitting 6 boundaries and 3 maximums.

For Northamptonshire, George Scrimshaw took 3 wickets for 33 runs from their 4 overs. David Willey took a wicket. At the end of the day, their bowling effort was not enough to restrict the Foxes.

4 FOURRR! Rehan Ahmed brings up his fifty and the team's victory with this boundary. Sanderson comes back from over the wicket. A fuller than length at the off stump. Rehan gives himself room by moving leg side and he lofts it over the right of the mid-off fielder for four runs. Leicestershire Foxes have won the game by 6 wickets and with 23 balls to go.
3 needed off 4 overs. David Willey finishes with 1/46.
