That's it from our live coverage from the 92nd T20 of the T20 Blast 2025 between Gloucestershire and Surrey. Surrey have done well to clinch a victory by 28 runs and with 28 points from 10 matches so far, they are in the second position of the points table.
For now, this is Saptak Sanyal signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Hiren Kumar and our scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. Good night.
2:25 AM IST and 9:55 PM Local Time | Surrey have won an away fixture and now they have got their 7th win out of the 10 games they have played so far in this edition of T20 Blast. Gloucestershire tried hard for the victory but at the end, Surrey did better than them and won the game by 28 runs.
Surrey were sent to bat first by the Gloucestershire skipper Jack Taylor. They lost two of their most reliable batters in Dom Sibley and Jason Roy early in the innings. But Sam Curran joined the opener Will Jacks and together they started building a solid partnership. They added 87 runs for the 3rd wicket. Will Jacks hit 5 sixes and a boundary on his way to score 57 off 35 balls. Sam Curran also played a captain's knock of 46 runs from 33 balls.
After their partnership broke, it was Dan Lawrence who took the onus. He remained unbeaten throughout the innings and scored 31 off 24 balls. Tom Curran helped him and his valiant cameo of 32 runs from just 15 balls with 5 fours and a maximum took the team score to 193/7 for Surrey.
Josh Shaw took 3 wickets for 41 runs and was the star of the Gloucestershire bowling. David Payne was economical as he conceded just 18 from his 4 overs picking up one wicket. Ajeet Singh Dale and Graeme van Buuren took one wicket each.
Coming to chase the run, Gloucestershire got off to a good start as D'Arcy Short and Miles Hammond played a few boundary shots to add 44 runs for the first wicket. Hammond scored only 14 before his dismissal but hit 3 boundaries. Then Cameron Bancroft and Short took the scoreboard forward. But when Bancroft got dismissed by Will Jacks, the next batter Oliver Price was also dismissed in the next over by Adam Zampa.
From that 78/3 position, D'Arcy Short got his skipper Jack Taylor as his partner. They moved steadily towards the target and added 43 for the 4th wicket. Short was looking good but he slapped a Sam Curran's delivery to find Jason Roy at long off and that was the turning point of the game. The Gloucester opener departed scoring 70 off 53 balls hitting 8 fours and 3 sixes.
After Short's dismissal, nobody stood up for the home side. Graeme van Buuren and Jack Taylor crossed the two figure mark but their efforts were not enough for Gloucestershire to chase down the 194-run target. They eventually fell 28 runs short of the Surrey's total.
For Surrey, Sam Curran did some magic with his slow deliveries and execution. Batters found it difficult to play shots against him and he conceded 32 from 4 overs picking up 3 key wickets. Will Jacks was very much tidy with the ball as he conceded only 17 from his 3 overs taking 2 wickets. Chris Jordan and Adam Zampa took a couple of wickets each.

0 Short of length delivery wide of off stump but inside the tramline. Payne misses the back foot punch.
19.5 T Curran to D Payne
WD Wide ball! A length ball very wide of the off stump. Payne leaves it alone.
19.4 T Curran to A Dale
1 Another slower on back of length around off. Dale rides the bounce and carves it to backward point and ambles through for one.
