R Sai Kishore (iDream Tiruppur Tamizhans Captain): "It's always pleasing to win in a comfortable manner. Tushar played an excellent knock and it was wonderful to watch from the dugout.
We have a few inexperienced players in the side but everyone are performing their roles really well.
(On Tushar Raheja) He has been batting really well in the last couple of years. Hopefully he gets a chance in the IPL very soon."
Tushar Raheja (Player of the Match): "Definitely, it was a wonderful wicket to bat and I enjoyed my time in the middle. We were quite aware about the wind factor in both the innings and we batted accordingly.
The coach has been working really hard behind me and I am really grateful for that."
Player of the Match: Tushar Raheja
6:44 PM: Time for the Post-Match Presentation!
Suresh Kumar (Trichy Grand Cholas Captain): "We lacked a lot of intent especially in the powerplay. We got off to a decent start but required to find some boundaries.
We batted really well in the death overs but should've done the same in the powerplay as well. In terms of our bowling, it's also the same as I feel we should've bowled well in the powerplay.
Sanjay Yadav without a doubt was the only positive from this game for us."
6:31 PM: A dominant display from iDream Tiruppur Tamizhans as they cruise to a 7-wicket win over Trichy Grand Cholas, chasing down the target with seven balls to spare. TGC continue to struggle, still winless in the TNPL 2025 season.
Earlier in the day under overcast skies, R Sai Kishore won the toss and opted to bowl first, and his pacers made good use of the conditions early on. S Sujay held firm with a steady 37 off 33, but his dismissal by S Mohan Prasath stalled TGC’s momentum.
Trichy kept losing wickets at regular intervals and were struggling midway through the innings. Sanjay Yadav and Mukilesh then stitched a crucial 64-run partnership for the fifth wicket to revive the innings. Mukilesh made 23 off 19, while Jafar Jamal added a fiery 17 off 8. The standout was Sanjay Yadav, who remained unbeaten on 60 off 32, powering TGC to 164/7. S Mohan Prasath was the pick of the bowlers for ITT with figures of 2/16.
In reply, Amith Sathvik took the backseat and played second fiddle while Tushar Raheja unleashed a brutal assault in the Powerplay, taking the Trichy bowlers to the cleaners. The duo stitched a quick 51-run opening partnership before the Impact Player for TGC, K Easwaran, broke through by dismissing Sathvik for just 5.
Tushar Raheja was simply sensational, smashing 80 off just 36 balls with 8 fours and 6 towering sixes, looking in complete control from ball one. He set the perfect platform for the chase, and once he departed, Pradosh Ranjan Paul (42*) and Mohamed Ali (25*) ensured there were no further hiccups. The duo stitched an unbeaten 59-run stand for the 4th wicket to take ITT home comfortably. iDream Tiruppur Tamizhans clinch a convincing 7-wicket win with 7 balls to spare!
