Ravichandran Ashwin (Dindigul Dragons Captain): "Great feeling to bounce back. It happens in T20 cricket. You can get all-out for a low score sometimes. It is okay unless we repeat the same mistakes. We have a great bowling attack. The plan was there in the auction. We have a long bowling line-up, to be honest. Bafna is a good left-arm spinner. Karthik Saran is a good seamer. We haven't used them as of now. Their time will come. We might requite them at the back end of the tournament."
Shivam Singh (POTM): "It is an amazing feeling to be on the scoring board. All God's grace. Just trust my skills and hit the ball. We (Shivam and Ashwin) have been practising well. I have been practising sweeps. Ash bhai (Ashwin) has said me that the strokes that can be played square of the wicket on these pitches would help me."

10:26 PM IST and Local Time: We are ready with the post-match presentations...
NS Chaturved (Siechem Madurai Panthers Captain): "It was a two-paced wicket. We misjudged it slightly. Still, we did well to get to 150. We needed to pick up wickets. They were all out for 90-odd in the last game. Their batting would have been low in confidence coming into this game. We could have put them under pressure. We failed to execute the plans. We need to enjoy our game. We will come back well. We want to be collective as a team. We have the energy with us. We will take the field with that confidence in the next game. Hopefully, the energy drives us forward."
10:18 PM IST and Local Time: What a dominating performance from the defending champions! They destroyed Siechem Madurai Panthers in a one-sided game! A complete bowling performance, followed by a fabulous top-order batting display, sees Dindigul Dragons to a nine-wicket win with more than seven overs to spare!

Bowling first, the Dragons restricted the Panthers to 150/8 in 20 overs, with the spin-bowling trio putting the brakes on the scoring rate choking down the middle order. DT Chandrasekar (2/27), Varun Chakaravarthy (1/19) and Ravichandran Ashwin (0/27) were absolutely spot on with their variations, lines and lengths. Pacers, Sandeep Warrier (1/35) and G Periyaswamy (2/40), bagged three wickets between them but conceded a few runs as well.

It was a real struggle for the Madurai batting line-up. The top order got into the double figures but didn't really make it count, throwing away their wickets. They had a decent start in the powerplay, but the skipper, NS Chaturved, struggled once the slow bowlers came in. Atheeq Ur Rahman slowly got moving after a sedate start and notched up a 41-ball 50 to take the team to a respectable total, while also witnessing a lower-order collapse.

Shivam Singh and R Ashwin made a mockery of the run chase. The duo smashed the Madurai bowlers left, right and centre, hammering 77 runs in the powerplay and breaking the back of the run chase. Eventually, the two right-handed batters added a whirlwind 124-run opening stand and made a mockery of this run chase. Ashwin (49 off 29) holed out to deep mid wicket, falling a run short of a half-century. P Vignesh was the solo wicket-taker for the Panthers.

Shivam kept scoring boundaries, hitting an unbeaten 41-ball 86 and finished the game with successive maximums in the 13th over and had the impact player Hunny Saini (14* off 7) supporting with a cameo. There was no fight from the Panthers as the Dragons tore into each and every bowler.

Stay tuned for the post-match ceremony!
