Tushar Raheja grabs the Orange Cap from Shivam Singh as he now stands as the leading run-scorer of the tournament.
9:51 PM: That's the end of this encounter! A dominating win for iDream Tiruppur Tamizhans as they crush the Dindigul Dragons by 9 wickets with 49 balls remaining. A clinical all-round performance led by their bowlers and finished off in style by Tushar Raheja and Co.
R Sai Kishore won the toss and chose to bowl first and his decision paid off brilliantly. Dindigul Dragons had a cautious start, but drama unfolded early as Shivam Singh burned both reviews in the opening over, and Ashwin was controversially given out LBW. From there, the innings went downhill.
Terrific captaincy from Sai Kishore and a sensational debut by Esakkimuthu A, who impressed with raw pace and figures of 4/26, dismantled the Dragons for just 93 in 16.2 overs. M Mathivanan (3/12) was impressive too with the ball in hand for the Tamizhans.
In reply, iDream Tiruppur Tamizhans started cautiously, knowing there was no pressure chasing a small total. Ganeshan Periyaswamy made an immediate impact, striking with his very first delivery to dismiss Amith Sathvik for 13 off 11 balls.
Despite an early setback, the ITT batters showed great composure and intent in the chase. Tushar Raheja was the standout performer, taking on the experienced Dragons bowling attack with ease as boundaries flowed from his bat.
Tushar Raheja (65* off 39), along with Sundararaman Radhakrishnan (14* off 21), put on an unbeaten 75-run partnership for the second wicket to guide iDream Tiruppur Tamizhans to a dominant 9-wicket win, chasing down the target in just 12 overs with 49 balls to spare.
