That's it from our end from Eagle Nashik Titans versus Satara Warriors, but stay tuned as we have another fixture in MPL 2025 on our hands. For now, this is Arjun Bhalla signing on behalf of Utsav Chandak and Dushyant Madhukar.
Prashant Solanki (Eagle Nashik Titans Captain & POTM): "We feel good, but as I have said earlier also, we take one game at a time. We want to stay in the present.
(On his favourite wicket of the match) I liked the timbers (chuckles).
Yeah, definitely, it would have been nicer if we had chased it down earlier and with more wickets in hand. It would have helped us with the NRR as well, but we will take the win and stay in the present. Thank you!"
Player of the Match: Prashant Solanki
Prashant Solanki receives the Purple Cap!
Time for post game presentation!
Saurabh Nawale (Satara Warriors Captain):"We made lots of silly mistakes. Not even a single batsman took the responsibility, so we were 30-40 runs short, so that costed us the game. Like I said, not even a single batsman took responsibility, so I think that went wrong. As I said before, 5 more matches to go, and we still have a chance. So, looking forward to them and hopefully we will come back."
5:49 PM IST, Local Time | Thanks to Prashant Solanki’s inspiring four-fer, the Eagle Nashik Titans got a target of 116 runs. The Satara Warriors did their best to defend it, but destiny had other plans. Destiny chose poetic justice while handing it out the winner of this game.
The Titans lost Arshin Kulkarni early in the chase, but Madhar Bhandari and Sahil Parikh revived the innings after an early break. The duo added just 24 runs between them, but it was enough during that stage.
After Parikh, Bhandari partnered with Siddhant Doshi during their 23-run stand. Although Bhandari lost the plot against Rajvardhan Hangargekar.
Doshi and Rohan Damle, & then later Damle and Atharva Kale had two brief stands. However, the Warriors remained calm and instigated a collapse. Shubham Maid and Vivek Shelar took wickets in a quick juncture, bringing in the lower order.
But another twist was just awaiting then and there. Ranjit Nikam and Kaushal Tambe added 15 precious runs together. And the poetic justice was served as the winning runs were by skipper Solanki, who set up the game in the first innings.
